The first thing you notice when entering the restaurant is the warm and welcoming atmosphere, almost like a family welcoming you into thier home!! Service is attentive and exceptionally good, the food is even better. The seafood soup is mind blowing and the meat balls...are phenomenal. I highly recommend a visit to this Gamla Stan gem!!More

Saw that Stockholms Gastabud was #1 Swedish restaurant in Stockholm so i thought i would indulge. Only 2 stops on the Green line. Nice quaint little restaurant with great service. I tried the Irish Coffee which was yummy, the SOS appetizer with three types of...herring, potatoes and cheese. So many flavors. I need to know what the name of the cheese was for sure. And then I had the Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy and lingonberries. Everything was marvelous and the Mgr or owner was a great help in explaining the meal.More

I came here with my family because of the high praise on the meatballs in Stockholm Sweden. Absolutely delicious and the gravy helps with the flavours. Mash is plenty with a small amount of lingonberries and pickles. Starter was the moose meat, which I'd never...had or heard of before in the UK, and it was very nice. Lightweight and with the strawberry sauce, light garnish and overall great taste. Covid safe with hand sanitizer and distance is recommended, even though it's a small restaurant. 100% recommend coming to Gamla Stan for this restaurant whilst visiting Sweden.More

The place is situated close to the main square of Gamla Stan. It is cozy and the service is fast and kind. The price is fair and the dishes are inviting. Recommended

After arriving in Sweden we were really wanting to try traditional home cooked swedish food. After a quick scan on tripadvisor we came across this little place and we were not left disappointed. The food was exquiste and they were amazing at catering for my...dairy free allergy. It is a family run, swedish delight that we simply cannot fault. The atmosphere is relaxed and causal. We were told it is a favourite amongst the locals. Thank you once again!More

This is certainly one of the best places for food in Stockholm. We had a variety of dishes and everything was excellent. And staff is wonderful - they speak good English and will also speak slow Swedish with you if you say that you want...to practice.More

My partner and I visited on a Friday evening and we managed to get a table just after 7pm without having to wait which was great news! The restaurant itself is very small and cosy but this adds to the romantic atmosphere. Fast service and...delightful homemade food! We would definitely come back here! The portions were big and the food was delicious. 5 stars. Thank you.More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

450 Kronas/SEK per person would be more than enough for a proper meal with appetizer, dessert and a couple drinks.

They are VERY small... seats two dozen at most. There is no website or email listed on their business card, but it says they are on Facebook. The phone number is 08 21 99 21. They speak excellent English.
