Food was great and the service too. We arrived at 4pm, so there was not many other customers. Good traditional swedish food with a twist.

Have been couple of times in this restaurant. Nice degustation menu if you would like to know local kitchen. Nice location, in the very city center, so you can finish your route there. Price for dinner for two persons with vine is around 120€.

Very good place to eat. The food is great and a good way of getting to taste the Swedish cuisine. The restaurant could be more cozy, but i would definitely go back here.

I stopped in alone and quite late (9PM) for dinner on a weeknight, given proximity to my hotel. Staff were accommodating and did not treat me usually. Food was excellent throughout - even from the bread and salted butter - and offered a delicious and filling vegetarian option (dumplings in a rich gravy). The atmosphere was simple and streamlined, but... More

I had many expectations about this place because of the great reviews but I was disappointed. The location is lovely in the heart of the city. The atmosphere is nice! We really enjoyed our wine but the food was mediocre. The Swedish meatballs didn't impress us. We liked the fried herring better. Plus the menu was limited (total lack of... More

If you like to try the traditional tastes of the country's cuisine this restaurant will not disappoint. We discovered the restaurant as it was close to our Hotel, the First Riesen and decided to try the Tasting menu. It came as three courses with 3 or 4 different dishes per course, you were then free to choose a dessert from... More

It has a nice food but the service it was really really slow. We had to wait mire than 20 minutes between the starter and the main course... The price is also high. It's ok if you want to try traditional food, they also have the tasting menu with their traditional dishes.

Lovely little quaint restaurant set in the back streets of old town and a real gem..... If your after some real traditional Swedish food defiantly give this a try. Good value for money, warm, buzzing atmosphere just what you need after a long day of traveling. Starter; Shrimp toast with black roe. Very tasty but Rich. For me the starter... More

We booked to ensure a table at this popular restaurant and were glad we did - people behind us were turned away as it was full. The staff were very welcoming with an excellent use of English (we can't speak Swedish) and were happy to explain anything on the menu we didn't understand. My husband had Toast Skagen (prawns on... I've been to tradition twice in winter 2016, once for lunch and next time for dinner. The local is comfortable and nice. Since it's located in Gamla, Ithink this is an ideal reastaurant for turists: the food is good and usually for lunch ou can choose between three/four main courses arund 130-180 kronor (14-19 euro). My advice is meatballs, which... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighborhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
