We visited here because it is close to the hotel we are staying in so was convenient. We both chose the same meal. Pork fillet with prawns, asparagus, fries and Bearnaise sauce. The drinks were Mariastads beer and a pear cider. We only read the reviews for the first time while waiting for the food to arrive and as a result we’re a little concerned at what to expect. We had no cause to worry. The quality was very good. It was well cooked and well presented. Portions were generous as well. I can see in other reviews that the staff do not get good remarks. I have to say that was not the case for us. The young lady that served us was polite and professional at all times. This is not a fine dining restaurant, it’s a pub on a Main Street and deserves 4 stars based on our experience. There are much worse places to eat in Stockholm.

Although Covid has a big part to play in the pub culture worldwide these days with restrictions etc that we all are aware of, my experience of the Laughing Duck was of one bar staff being unfriendly and quite ignorant very strange.
Having worked in the customer service industry most of my life i found this unreal. especially when bars are i need of support in these strange Covid times.

I gave 4 stars. Don't compare this pub with a classy restaurant. Also not with a British pub. But as far as pubs go in Stockholm this one is pretty decent.
Good cold bears, recommend the BBQ cheeseburger!

This pub is like an American sports bar with a twist: it has a very decent casual restaurant. It is near the train station in downtown Stockholm about a two-block walk from the Scandic Grand Central hotel. The menu is in Swedish and English. The front of the restaurant has a raised dais with a number of dining tables. I had a very nice sirloin steak with red wine sauce served atop homemade mashed potatoes garnished with scallions and bacon bits. My husband had a generous portion of fish and chips with a light local lager. The portions were generous. Our waiter was kind. I asked the cook to make my wine sauce, gluten free because I have an allergy. I appreciated the extra care they took. The bar itself was quiet when we ate there about 7 PM on a Saturday night. The music being broadcast sounded like Swedish ballads. Very laid-back. There is a small outside seating area, but it was a bit too nippy for us to sit there. The meals and drink cost us about 450 krona.

Nice venue but unfortunately..
unpleasant staff, the music at maximum volume and the food was inedible.
Especially their hotwings! Love hotwings but couldn't eat it unfortunately. The pork tenderloin was saved by a perfectly ok sauce, otherwise it too would have been left behind..

The food was fantastic. The drinks at a very good value. A bottle of Italian red wine for SEK 298 when in other restaurants they charge around 590.
Waitresses were extremely friendly and attentive.
Okay so it's pub atmosphere and no white cloths on the tables but extremely good value for money

Today, I was witness to a terrible behaviour of the doorman. We wanted to have a dinner and couple of beers but we were refused by this doorman accusing us of been drunk. After leaving the restaurant he kept calling us names and used very vulgar English. It is totally disgusting behaviour. I strongly recommend not go there and not to support such a bad bussines.

An unpleasant experience at The Laughing Duck on Vasagatan in Stockholm. After misunderstanding the street talker, I was greeted by an aggressive and rude male bar employee, who instead of helping, hostilely told me to read 'better and more properly'. An experience that definitely does not create any desire to return

I love to carve out an hour during my travels to visit a pub in the city where I am staying, enjoy a beer and relax. As a rule, if I am alone, I sit at the bar.
Normally I always find friendly people at the bar, willing to share what the pub has to offer. Here, however, I unfortunately found two waitresses who give the impression that the customer is more of a nuisance. They spent their time chatting and, if a customer turned up, giving that person as little importance as possible. I would like to tell them that I, like the many other customers, constitute their salary.

Nasty place. Sat quietly and had a beer at the bar, listened to music and 5 minutes later I had been dragged by a very aggressive guard (because I asked why he wanted me out), pressed to the floor so I couldn't breathe (because that I wanted to get my laptop bag for work) and then thrown out on the street. Also, the aggressive guard followed suit and twisted my arm so I was still in pain the next day. Reported. Don't go there!

After a nice concert at Kulturhuset, my friend and I wanted to sit down and talk for a while. We walked towards the door of the Laughing Duck but didn't have time to open it before a very unpleasant and aggressive guard came running. He had been talking to his friend some distance away and now saw that people were entering without his approval. He got uncomfortably close and was aggressive when he asked if I "had been drinking". After three tries, I understood what he was saying, and answered in the negative. He then said it "looked like that". Very strange and unpleasant behavior from a guard who seemed erratic and dangerous. Although we could have walked in then, we chose to go to the Bishops Arms right next door instead. There we were kindly welcomed. Reading below reviews I am happy with the decision. Laughing Duck is not welcoming but offensive and instills discomfort. Not recommended.

We ate here two nights in a row. The food was vg, served promptly, good sized portion and reasonable priced. The young staff was friendly and spoke excellent English

The bartender was impolite and told us literally to “get the fk out” after not deciding on what to order within seconds of arriving

Ah, the illustrious Laughing Duck, where their security team doubles as mind readers! The two insightful door men possess an uncanny ability to determine your inebriation level without any actual evidence. Such an impressive feat of clairvoyance makes up for the lack of hospitality and basic respect. Clearly, a place where sobriety is a prerequisite and customer service is just a myth. Cheers to the Laughing Duck for their unparalleled commitment to assumption-based exclusion!

Solid pub fare close to Central Station. My teenagers ate the Swedish meatballs and my husband and I enjoyed a surprisingly good steak. This was a reasonably priced and relaxing meal.
