Favorite go to place when in Stockholm. Excellent gluten-free selection and a cozy atmosphere. Offering food as well as desserts. Serving good coffee and alcoholic beverages, for example gluten free beer.

Lovely service. Immindoors and I shared the lamb and the steak mains as we couldn't choose. Both were delicious. The pistachio aioli was brilliant with perfectly cooked lamb. The potato cake that came with the steak had a bacony goodness that may have been synthetic but who cares because I want to eat it every day! The wine was lovely.... More

We were attracted to this bistro by the lovely location in a picturesque square off the beaten track in the old town area. Unfortunately for us the experience wasn't great mostly due to the lack of service. We waited almost 30 minutes at an outside table before they took our order. The main course felt as though it was made... More

Fantastic culinary choice. Cute little cafe / restaurant. Welcoming staff. Menu was diverse but something for everyone. Very fairly priced and the food quality exceeded what would be expected for the price - good value. Extremely tasty food. I had the Swedish meatballs wh/ were delicious. Did a great job for Gluten Free and I'd highly recommend for anyone with... More

The cake was very good (and gluten free), but the salad was returned back to the kitchen three (3!) times as there were a lot of soil in the cabbage as they did not wash it properly. Won't eat here again due to bad kitchen hygiene standards.

My girlfriend and me really enjoyed dinner at this amazing place in Gamla Stan in Stockholm. It's very quiet compared to the buzzing and touristy rest of the old part of the city. We can totally recommend the Kötbullar, they've been fantastic!

Nicely located with a large tree in front of the house in a calm corner of Gamla Stan. Reservations recommended. We had Köttbullar which were fine.

I have gluten and milk allergies, and Lanka did an amazing job going through the menu items with me to clarify ingredients so I could eat safely. Swedish restaurants are aware and have gluten free options, but finding items that are also MILK free (not just lactose free), is harder. I had the most delicious steak and potatoes (modified to... Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighborhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
