We really enjoyed our meal at Misteln. We got the meatball special, and we were really pleased with our meal. Our waitress was great and the place was very charming inside. If it had been warmer, we would have hung out outside which was on...More

My party of three took a pit stop at Misteln during 45 min free time on a cruise excursion tour of Gamla Stan. As we were already in Stortorget Square we merely selected the cafe that had an available table in the sun. We were...More

Looking for a traditional Swedish lunch meal while on a day tour from a cruise. This restaurant was advertising Swedish meatballs at a reasonable price on their specials board. The full price would have been the same as every other restaurant around but I suspect...More

We were walking through the gamla stan district, and noticed this café. They had a very ellaborate menu and the sandwiches and desserts are a recommendation! Also the interior with especially the paintings were nice.

The best Goulash I’ve had! We were looking for somewhere for a late dinner, and despite being 10pm they were very welcoming, Restaurant is very cozy and food reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. In the heart of Gamla Stan. Well recommended!

We were on a one night stop over in Sweden on our way to Thailand so we had not much time to enjoy the beauty of Stockholm. We travelled all the way into Gamla Stan as we had been recommended to go to this bar...More

This cafe is right on the main square in Stockholm’s old town so I guess they can charge what they want. But £4 for a cup of lukewarm and flavourless tea, when we paid much less for much better tea elsewhere, is not good. Plus...More

The cosy looking upper bar (there’s another cosy one in the basement below) enticed us in but we were sadly disappointed. The hot chocolate was cold with a milky skin and not a patch on the cheaper one sold next door in Chokladkoppen. Perhaps naively,...More

All the art on the walls let’s you know right off this was a good choice. The inside is cozy and clean, like all the restaurants we found in Gamel Stan. Good service and yummy food with a lovely wine and beer made for an...More

This was a really cute, small, and cozy restaurant right in the old square of Gamla Stan. The Swedish meatballs were the best we've ever had and whatever sauce/gravy that was drizzled on it was amazing. The food was just absolutely delightful and exactly what...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
