This café/ restaurant was the perfect place to rest our weary limbs. The food was wholesome and delicious. Nothing fancy. good honest fare. Service was great and the establishment tidy and clean.

We spent a quiet lunch sitting outside on the patio of Lilla Hasselbacken. We both ordered the quiche lunch and a tall, cold beer. The food was delicious. Lilla Hasselbacken is a nice spot to visit to get away from the crowds at Grønna Lund.

Cozy, warm atmosphere. You feel taken care of. The food was authentic Swedish food, the service tentative. I had salmon dish which was very fresh. The restaurant is run by a family and it feels like coming home from the personal art on the wall to the old style of the building. In the evening a band was playing: violin,... More

This is a family friendly cafe. You are warmly greeted and immediately given a selection of bread & salad. They have great pasta, spaghetti, lasagna, Swedish meatballs, quiche, and desserts....for kids young and not so young. It's all yummy!

I love this beautiful, historic building in a great location. We visited at all times of the day and were not disappointed. Great choice of good coffees and pastries at breakfast, shrimp smorgas for lunch, or teas, coffees and cakes in the afternoon. Everything a great café should be! Recommended!

Had lunch here with few friends. Cannot find really any reason to go to a place like this. Food was less than average, expensive for what it is, furniture and decoration messy and run down, personnel that does not make any effort to be friendly. Avoid.

We stopped by for tea and hot chocolate on our way to Skansen, just to warm up. On the first glance it looked ok and a little hipstery. But, it was crowded and tables were awkwardly positioned, you could not move freely and we were forced to squeeze in with bunch of strangers. And the staff members was so nervous... More

Right opposite the Skansen, this provides a cheaper eat than the museum restaurants and an OK way to pass time waiting for your slot at the ABBA museum. Friendly and helpful staff. Long communal tables. Set lunch for 125 Kr which includes a main, unlimited salad and desert and coffee.

Great food good prices. And the best service in Stockholm. Close to the abba museum, and the open air museum in Skansen. A lovely little spot to try some home cooked food. In between sight seeing.

Reasonably ok dining during the summer months (excellent location; near central Djurgården, yet somewhat secluded) ... More cafe than restaurant. A little small cluttered environment, but with a certain charm. Feels something old and worn.

Neighborhood Profile
Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of nature and an abundance of museums, while being located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take endless walks through a beautiful park landscape without having to leave the city, but also offers an incredible range of entertainment facilities, such as an open air museum which specializes in the Swedish way of life pre-industrialization, the renowned Vasa Museum with its legendary sailing ship, and Sweden’s most famous amusement park Gröna Lund, which is more than a 100 years old.
