We were in the mood for dish and chips. We found our treat in this Irish pub in the old city on Stora street. We sat outside in the open air to enjoy the beautiful weather. Service is not great, the waitor will ask you to go inside to give the order. If you need a drink you have to... More

this pub is great. We enjoyed the food, pub food, and the range of beers. They had on several evenings different musicians, making a great atmosphere. People in are from all ages, very international.

The place was comfortable, and the table service was friendly. The food was average, nothing special but certainly not bad.

My wife and I stopped in during our walking tour of Gamla Stan. This is in Rick Steve's tour book. Nearby restaurants were very busy but this one was not. Not a good sign. We ordered hamburgers and a Stella and a Newcastle. We ordered and paid inside and ate outside. I must say the burgers were excellent. Very tasty... More

Oh dear. A series of own goals here make this Irish pub relegate itself from great to average. First the good: Great choice of menu and drinks options. Very nicely furnished - as good a representation of authentic pub furniture as you will find anywhere. Pleasant, efficient Irish staff. Good atmosphere, despite the horrors of the Belgium 3-nil annihilation of... More

Hi dave and thanks for your feedback, delighted you liked our furniture its sourced from Ireland and we're trying to give the place as much as an authentic feel as possible and had just reopened are cellar bar which was where you came across the low rope over the stairs, as we were still making small adjustments and people had... This is a great pub with good music and beer right in the middle of the Old Town. The chicken wings are the hottest I have tried and I am a bit of an expert on wings. We were warned before we tried them but wow. Hot but great. If you like good music this is the place to go... More

I had lunch there and I strongly recommend it. The burgers are amazing and quite cheap compared to the expensive cost of meals in Sweden. Friendly staff and nice venue, plus a good selection of beers and ciders.

The bar has a great friendly atmosphere, very good food and beers. Dominique, the bartender, is also great! I celebrated my birthday there in April and he helped me with everything, from the drinks to the cake! Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the fish and chips, BBQ burger and chicken quesadillas. Great onion rings! Staff is friendly. Only use the bathroom next to the bar, not downstairs.

Thank Kris J

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighborhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
