this is a great place to taste typical swedish pastry. each room of this vast establishment is decorated differently and it feels always cozy. the kanelbullar are simply great!

We'd heard about Vete-Katten from Swedish relatives who knew we were fans of fika (Swedish coffee-break sweets, etc). We found this super-packed place with lots of people eating desserts, having coffee, but also meals. Order at counter, prepared dishes brought to table. We were there mid-afternoon but hadn't eaten lunch, so ended up ordering lunch and a dessert and a... More

Tried some good pastries, very tasty and fresh-made, but be aware they're not that cheap. But what is in Sweden?

I've only ever been here for breakfast, so I can't comment on how crowded it gets later in the day. I enjoyed the fresh coffee and delicious custard-filled pastry I had (the name is escaping me), and the blueberry one I had as well. I liked this bakery so much the first time I visited that I returned the next... More

Well to be honest - not really - but a a very similar feel and quality without the table service. An early start from Heathrow, no breakfast, a walk to the hotel - being cheap - and then a need for caffeine and food - so a perfect place. We passed it on foot on the way to our hotel.... More

Very high noiselevel. The pastries doesn't match our expectations. Feels like a tourist trap. Bad information about the possibilty to buy single pieces of cakes.

I was last here about 8 years ago and it hasn't changed since I first went there in the late 70s. One of the last remaining 'old school' cake and coffee shops in Stockholm. There are lots of alcoves, rooms within rooms, wiggly angles, old furniture and fantastic patisserie. We had traditional Princess Tarta - all sponge, cream and raspberries... More

Service excellent, the girl was so friendly and smiley that I thought her face would split in half. Bread was really not that good, and it is expensive. Cakes were delicious. Inside of the cafe is slightly boring and there is not much privacy.

This is was the very first place where my family and I had lunch in Stockholm. It was lovely, the staff was very friendly and the environment is nice.
