Placed in the heart of the city-walk close to the Noble Mesuem... Small outlet from outside but great sitting indoors as well 2 floors down below... Small outdoor sitting as well. Great coffee & food served.

The best raspeberry pie is here. Look no further. Take a big cup of hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy seing people passing by. Last time I ate a baked potato with skagenröra and it was delicious! Everything is great!

This is a definite recommendation of Stockholm - the coffee was amazing, and the beautiful owner/host was so polite and welcoming and incredibly helpful as this was our first time in Stockholm. It is a very hard working cafe and they certainly take pride in their service and coffee.

I first discovered the place in 2002 during winter and had the pleasure of visiting the place again in November 2013. It's a small place with small chairs and tables but the location is everything. Stortoget, gamla stans is such a nice romantic place to wonders round and kaffekoppen adds that extra bit of flavor to the place.

The setting is very nice. A charming square in front of the Nobel museum. The building may be antique, but the cafe itself is old, bordering derelict. The place has no charm whatsoever. The food is honest and abundant but rather uninteresting. Service is inattentive.

We Had coffee and a cinnamon bun in this lovely coffee house in one of the main plazas in gamla stan , Stockholm. Sat outside and had a great time. Only problem was the cleanliness of the restrooms.

Located in the old town and the Stortorget square. The building was the famous red one which you see in the most pictures of the old city :) It was really crowded in the evening, but we were lucky to have a seat. The coffee was really good. I could say that it was the best cafe I've ever drunk.... More

This cafe is perched on one of the arms of the square in the Old Town Stockholm. As a Coeliac and dairy intolerant I was looking for a coffee and something to eat. Other than a salad which I didn't feel like there were no gluten free options and no coffee for me (so a 1 star from me). My... More

While the lunch was ok, they specialize in the sweet tooth. The ice cream bowl comes with so much goodness it's hard to describe. Just order it and enjoy!

Great location in the Old City. It was very crowded when me and a friend visited. Big portions of sandwhiches. The bread was a bit dry though, and we needed to add some pepper and salt. Very nice place though. Friendly.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighborhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
