It is traditional Swedish restaurant with authentic interior. They offer good meal and a large list of drinks. Good service and reasonable prices for good quantity and quality. I really recommend.

If you're interested in trying some traditional Swedish food, service and interiors this is the place to go. A welcoming atmosphere and interesting, charming characters serving at the tables.

Took out our Australian friend for dinner to experience traditional Swedish cuisine. A great experience - what an atmosphere! Well cooked Swedish cuisine served by highly experienced and professional waiting staff. Ordered some wine which appeared to be affected by cork taint, the waitress was so nice and professional about it and offered two glasses of a better wine for... More

Attended with friend who is disabled, staff very helpful and caring. Food excellent, same menu served in bar areas and restaurant, suggest booking as very popular with locals which says a lot. We had a wonderful waitress in the bar area who worked very hard as did all members of staff. Very much recommend.

Tennstopet is a classic Swedish Restaurant with nice old-fashioned staff and a great menu-typical Swedish food! You can enjoy herrings, “gubbröra”-chopped egg and anchovies or the famous “Skagen” shrimp with dill in mayonnaise among other things! The decor is cosy and they also have outdoor seating when the weather allows it! We stared with 3 small little plates which contained... More

This is one of the last authentic Classic Swedish Food restaurants left in Stockholm, original interiors and furnishings. There is a pub section which is as near to anEnglish pub as it gets serving Swedish bar food and Swedish beers and, then there is the restaurant for more traditional dishes ,always God,experienced staff who have been there forever and relaxed atmosphere. Be warned... More

The service was excellent. Someone picked our coats and even helped my girlfriend getting dressed when we left, how gentlemanly! The waiter was very nice and chatty. The food was really good, but maybe a tiny bit expensive for what it was (it's only meatballs and mashed potatoes after all - even if they're good). The atmosphere is really nice,... More

Very cozy and delicious food. Prices are ok. We had the typical meatballs with cram erry sauce, cream and smashed potatoes, it was very nice. Also a place for drinks and taoas.

Staying in Vasastan

Neighborhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
