After traveling around the Baltic for a couple of weeks we thoughwe would try something different for a change. We fancied a bit of Thai food and had a look on trip advisor to find something close to where we were staying. After reading a few reviews we decided in Siam which is located in the old town. I was... More

We were gald to find this restaurant in the center of Gamla Stan. The foods were delicious and authentic as good as in Thailand. The service was very quick and friendly. We had a great Thai dinner in Stockholm, since my husband and I love Thai foods very much. We always wanted to try good Thai foods any where we... More

Average Thai food, on a touristic location. Ended up here due to good reviews but end up being just a touristic trap. Expensive not value for money at all. 16€ for a Phat Thai...

A simple and friendly Thai restaurant sitting in the center of the old town. The menu selection is a bit limited but everything we ordered is authentic and well prepared. If you are looking for Asian food in the old town, this may be your best choice.

The calamari was somewhat tasteless and had too much breading for my liking. The meat in the beef basil was a little tough, but the flavor of the dish was pretty good.

Went here for lunch and ordered from set menu, all dishes were good quality and plentiful. Service was fast and friendly and very reasonable cost for Stockholm.

As a vegetarian finding food abroad is quite difficult. This place were brilliant, anything on menu could be vegetarian and they advised well against food that wouldn't work as vegetarian. The meat eaters really enjoyed it too. Lovely venue, underground, nice atmosphere

Situated in old Stockholm we found this restaurant to be very good. The menu has a variety of Thai dishes plus a daily special. We chose the red curry chicken which was excellent. in summer choose an outdoor table to watch the passing parade of tourists.

Came for a quick meal, found it to be pretty straightforward thai food, nothing special but fine. Very expensive for thai food compared to Australia but I appreciate they are probably more scarce in Sweden. The mulled wine was surprisingly good.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighborhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
