We have been 4times at that restaurant and we decided to try AW julebord.It was Absolutely Great again Lovely ,cozy atmosphere, clean restaurant,very polite staff,Food Amazing like Always 💯👍💯Fresh, delicious,lots of variety. Restaurant have good location at center of Jonkoping,have parking closer.We love this place, recommend it 👍💯👍💯

We have visited that restaurant for AW after work buffet at friday afternoon!...it was just AWESOME!....food very fresh ,delicious,salads also. THE MOST DELICIOUS IS FISH SOUP!!! Recommend it!!Very clean,cosy place.Stuff absolutely helpful & polite. Recommend this place with all heart...will be back soon....xxxxxxx💖💖💖🌹❤❤💕💕

Where to start... Well, menu is appropriate. The visit was booked in good time and cost discrepancies reported. However, the only regular vegan dish on the menu was not available due to that "the steam in the oven was broken". Apparently, you cannot then prepare your cauliflower with other methods. Highly improvised dishes were offered to the vegans, who received a main course with sliced pickled beetroot and one with boiled potatoes with brown wok and sauce. Well, it was vegan after all.
You have to ask for the drinks menu/wine list when you order the food, when one of the wines smells a bit suspicious, the waiter tastes it and starts arguing that there is nothing wrong with the wine! Although he would now be convinced that it had been - remove the wine and sell it by the glass at the bar or something and keep your guest happy and contented and not fooled, or try another bottle.
It would be nice if the kitchen could perhaps sort out chipped plates, if you don't strive to be a shabby establishment.
For dessert, the espresso machine had unfortunately broken and they were "waiting for spare parts from Italy", the steam had perhaps broken in it too, like the oven!
There are plenty of better options in Jönköping, it's a shame that La Gare allows itself to be so bad, the last visit made here was great and above expectations!
Vegan food -1 in grade meat dishes 3/average.

Sat there for 15 minutes. A table of 8 people (that arrived after we did) got their orders taken and served before us.
Just left without eating anything.
Do not recommend.

After several conference lunches the verdict is clear. Food is good but service is slow, 20-30 minutes waiting between starter and main is not acceptable. The fault seems to lie in the kitchen since service staff are not overly busy.
