I had made a reservation online, however they hadn't registered it. Luckily we got a table anyways. We had been there before and had fond memories, however, we were dissapointed of the quality of the sushi. Service was a bit indifferent.

I ordered a Teryaki Salmon served with rice, pickles and onion. The salmon was soft and well cooked. I also took fried noodles with beef, delicious. For sure a valid alternative to the usual sushi

Asked the hotel for a good sushi around Stortorget, and this was the closes one. Very good sushi with a lot of taste and freshness. Nigiri pieces melted in my mouth. Took the 6 pieces nigiri and Ikura rolls, which were delicious. Had an Edamame...for starter, that could have fed 4 people as a starter! Took the spicy, but it was not spicy at all. Good choice, but not the top quality, but very good. See picsMore

Celebrating my friends diploma and excited having friends over from the states, Canada and Germany. Booked 2 tables in advance by phone. All confirmed by the guy on the phone. When we get there, they refuse to let us in saying the placed is full...and that they can't find our booking. The guards and the guy checking the list were very unpolite and not understanding at all. Never coming back here!More

Nice personal, not any long waiting time for the food. Plate was very generous so no problem if you are a big eater. Price affordable

Visited Koi on a Wednesday night for dinner with some friends. A cozy restaurant with some window views looking out to the Lilla Torg Square. I would say this is Asian Fusion heavier on the Japanese influence. We decided to go with Starters. Ordered the...Edamame, Ebi Fry (Shrimp) & Fry Mix (Shrimp, Calamari, mini spring roll & Gyoza). All were good with nice presentation. The fried starters are not Tempura (& the menu doesn't state that it is although our server mentioned it was). For Main, a couple of us ordered the Yakiniku based on our server's recommendation. The beef was seasoned and tasty as well the Kimchi Salad. It was a huge portion and we ended up sharing it. The remaining mains were the Yellowfin Sashimi. While they were happy with the Sashimi, the portion was more like a starter. So these two dishes together are good for two people to share. We paired dinner with some Asahi & Sapporo. We noticed some other tables with the 16 and 30 Shushi entree and they looked like they were enjoying their meals. Good value for money and added a star for the service overall.More

Visited this place, and must say that this is a place not to be missed. Smiling service and the best food ever. Left with a sence of satisfaction not known in a long time👍👍

This place has been here for decades - which is a very long time, considering the touristy location. It was one of the first sushi places in Malmö and it used to be a real treat to eat here. The owners and staff have changed...many times over the years, and the quality has of course changed also. The food has almost always been good, so it would seem they can still attract good chefs. It's been a couple of years since we were here last, but a few days ago we had another try. It was a sunny evening and all the places around the square were absolutely crammed with guests. All except for Izakaya Koi. This made us a little suspicious. It seems there was a reason that people chose other restaurants: the service of Izakaya that evening was absolutely appalling! Our friend at dinner opined that our server must have been the worst in Malmö. I wouldn't go that far (there might be a greasy spoon somewhere in the suburbs with an even more terrible waitress), but she was certainly incompetent. Most of the time she spent staring into space and she never noticed any of the (few) guests trying to get her attention. She got our beers, then left them in the warm summer air on her counter and just strayed off. There they were, getting flatter and warmer by the minute. After fifteen minutes or so, we got up and fetched the drinks ourselves. They were still just sitting on the counter, obviously forgotten. She never noticed. This went on. We didn't get menus, she got the orders wrong, she completely misinformed us about the dishes. It was a disaster. BUT - this is the sad part - the food was delicious! I pity the chefs, making such wonderful sushi and tempura and tasty bowls, while the person serving these delicacies completely stuffed up the orders and made the guests angry. There was a party of ladies sitting close to us and they sort of gave up - at the end of the evening we were all laughing at the dreadful lack of service. I'd actually give four stars for the food but at the same time, I can't recommend this place to anyone because of the staff.More

A great atmosphere on "Lilla Torg", one we wanted to experience while having a lunch. We ended up at this place and went with the set-dish for the day. Chicken and Rice, with carrots and mayo. Very tasteless and the way the food was served...on the plate, lacked passion. Not gonna return for dinner or any kind of food, ever again.More
