Really great experience

We had a very good experience at Que where we had the Hanoi tasting which was extremely tasty and well presented. The waiter at the restaurant was very attentive and great to present the dishes. We opted in for some additional waygu meet which was amazing. I recommend this restaurant to people visiting Malmø as it’s surely worth a visit.

Wonderful restaurant, great culinarian adventure

First of all i must admit,, that i don‘t really like asian food that much, but this restaurant is a culinary discovery for me. The location is not so great at a busy mainstreet of Malmö, but take a step inside and you are in a very stylish and calm restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. We were very friendly welcome and the service was very professional like the kitchen staff, because they served us two courses directly at a little bardesk by the open kitchen - so we could see the preparation of our meals - absolutely a great experience! Last but not least the kitchen: best asian products and a explosion of tastes, textures - really wondeful and certainly one of the best vietnamese restaurants in europe! We have a culinarian adventure at this evening and highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Top class visit, food and expirience

We had a warm welcome 30 min before we had a booked time. We were more than welcome. We had a deep introduction to the restaurant by the owner and the 10 course menu. The food was Amazing. We are really at the high end. The balance in each servings, was more than good. The variation of the menu, with veganX fish and meat dishes are tip level. Wagyu A5 meat served in between the whole menu, wich made it really nice serving at right time. The elaboration from the chef to each dish, made the evening an expirience of the best. This is a top class restaurant that doesn’t compromise on quality. My best reccomendations.

Long wait and disappointing main

We were staying at the hotel next door and booked the table earlier. Started badly with a cool welcome and being given a hidden table by the side door, told it was romantic to be away from the main restaurant. We thought of leaving but it was raining so stayed. After ordering we were served our beers and after 5 mins the waitress came back to apologise but the starter would be delayed because of two large tables needing service. We asked how long and told maybe 15 minutes. Starters were served after 40 minutes and were ok. Another older couple staying at the hotel were then seated next to us, just for drinks. The mains were served fairly quickly but my wife was surprised to find that her duck on rice was served stone cold. She complained and the waitress checked before telling us it was meant to be served cold. My wife asked for her dish to be taken away. I suggested my wife had the pork main which was served warm and quite good. Another server then appeared after 5 minutes with the new dish and did apologise saying the cold dish would not be charged for. We didn't leave a tip.

Great food but cold by the time it got to the table!

We went here for dinner because the hotel recommended it to us. The food and the atmosphere are truly unique. Upscale cuisine and therefore smaller portions and higher prices. Unfortunately - and really unfortunately - the food was not even close to warm when it arrived at the table! Plates were not preheated and the serving took too long. It's a shame, but that's not acceptable in this class.

You never know how good the meal was until the bill arrives

Is a saying that very much applies to our experience last night. We had a lovely meal, the restaurant has recently changed its 2 tasting menus and we both opted for the one that includes servings of meat and fish. The thing with a tasting menu, you can't please all and in my opinion you don't have to, some flavours just appeal more to some than others and we found it interesting to see we had different favourites, plus it's just fun to be served different cooking techniques and styles. Stand out dish for me was the panko fried king prawn, my lady enjoyed the Wagyu beef the best. We both really savoured the mini ramen with hare. My wine pairing was interesting, very suitable and generously poured, service was friendly with a smile. So why only 3 stars you ask? Well, the bill came. On the menu it says that Thursdays will give you a 15% discount on the food. Which was applied. But not on the Wagyu dish, that was charged the full additional amount, times 2. See, that's where I think you should inform your guests that in the personal view of the restaurant, Wagyu beef is not considered to be food.

Great Asian fine dining

Que is a small restaurant serving modern Vietnamese-inspired fine dining. We had the Saigon menu with beer, which I would recommend if you want a full experience. Generally we had a great time. You sit around the kitchen, which is open, so you get to follow the chefs working throughout the evening. The food served was quite advanced, so this is not traditional Vietnamese, but rather Vietnamese dishes remade in a modern way. The food was not very spicy. The beer menu was great, really cool pairings of local beers that matched the food great. Service was friendly and all that we could ask for. Beware that because the kitchen is right next to you, your clothes (including outerwear) will smell a bit afterwards.

Wait to clean until the customers have left

Generally good food and good wines. Our waiter was very friendly, but he didn't pay much attention to the fact that the glasses were empty and we sat several times without a drink and waited. The thing that counts down the most was that before we had had our dessert the restaurant was almost empty and the waiters and the chef (it is an open kitchen) started cleaning and making noise etc. We had not had our dessert and we felt that we had to hurry up and finish so they could close the restaurant down.

Unique and unforgettable

It was just lunch and there were very few guests but I will never forget this lunch. First because the restaurant is beautiful, and because we were very friendly. The lunch menu is very simple and includes maybe 3 dishes to choose from (meat, fish or chicken, veggie) but what food!!! We shared baos with pork belly (very delicious) and a dish with chicken that delighted us. I've been to Vietnamese food so many times in Europe, but this dish has eclipsed everything in terms of taste. It was just delicious! I've since regretted not asking what main ingredients are in it... this sauce! Unfortunately, I live far away but I would never plan a trip to Malmö again without planning a full dinner with a big menu at the Quê.

Fantastic craftsmanship, a joy to look at, but unfortunately not as good as it looks. The fact that the ox tartar was frozen wouldn't have mattered so much if the flavors had sat there. The quail was pretty good, but was ruined by a way too hot chili sauce. Most of the dishes are quite tasteless, and not at all on the level of when the restaurant was newly opened. It won't be good just because it's spectacular!

A restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, nice service & good food. We ate a three-course summer menu that contained good flavors that really "married". We look forward to trying the restaurant's tasting menu in the future.

Worth a visit

Quick lunch when exploring Malmo Prompt, friendly service We had single entrees of chicken and swordfish. Both done nicely, with nice sauces. Minor issue was the cold noodle salad that was sticky and clumped

Adventure for tastebuds

I went there with my partner for our anniversary dinner and went for the larger tasting menu. Every plate had a wonderful flavor composition, the staff was knowledgable and friendly as well as the local being a perfect location for an intimate dinner. NOTE: If you are looking for an Asian take-out type of meal with huge portions, this isn't a place for you - but I would recommend you go to the nearest food court buffet. If you want a genuine tasting menu experience of Asian flavors, this is a definite must.

Even if you are spoiled with excellent food , with excellent Asian food in fact you will be very impressed . Vietnamese freshness but with influence from the best of Asia. The flavors the textures , hot cold , herbs ands spices. Topped with great service.

A great surprise.

A real surprise hidden in Värnhem in Malmö. Tried both of the tasting menus. Both equally as good. The service was very attentive and friendly with our being overwhelming. The food is as described, local seasonal ingredients prepared in a Vietnamese style. It works really well, don’t expect big bold flavours. It is all about subtle flavour combinations and great presentation. A great experience and well worth a visit.
