Excellent vegan and vegetarian food to reasonable prices. You can get a piece of salmon on top of the vegetarian plate if you want to.

Lovely veggie cafe. Excellent fresh food and friendly staff. Perfect for break during shopping trip. But pricey.

So good to find a vegetarian restaurant. We went here for coffee and cake and also for the meal of the day at lunch time. Both were excellent. The coffee is really good and the cake was very tasty and filling. The portions at lunch time were big and the food was delicious. For SEK 95 you get a main... More

Nice fresh vegetarian food in cosy atmosphere. Though somewhat small dishes if you are really hungry.

Several vegan options and great quality food, though we went about 1pm and they ran out of one dish shortly after. Not that much seating and sort of communal, but not in an awkward or hippie-style way - just a cosy atmosphere. The soup was fantastic with a lovely salad, good size servings and good value for Sweden. Also free... More

Everything was very tasty, nice atmosphere as well. Very simple but good, adorable staff. That and of course the whole not killing animals thing ;)

I dined at Rost Mat & Kaffe with work colleagues and ordered their "Färskosttallrik" which best translates to a dish of fresh ingredients. Rost has a concept of preparing organic food from scratch, and is a very popular eating establishment in central Umeå. The dish included cream cheese, lentil beans, quinoa, wheat berry, curry beans, chili beans, carrots, cabbage, hummus,... More

Good atmosphere. We went in the afternoon and only had hot drinks & desserts/snacks. The mugs for tea and hot chocolate were huge and tasted fine, the coffee however came in a small cup and apparently tasted a bit weird. We had some jam/vanilla pastries, a chocolate ball, and a chocolate brownie - all were delicious. The staff were friendly... More

Found this place on Happycow. The menu is not very extensive, but the Veggie platter was superb. Beans, salad, carrots, hummus, lentils... The works! Do add almonds and raisins. It's a treat! They're open until 8.00pm so a late dinner (according to swedish standards) is possible too.
