French / Nordic. Very good Cheese platter - Danish cheeses. Creme brulée was also delicious. Extensive Wine list. Fine service.

We stopped at this place in passing one evening while in Copenhagen. The greeting was warm and though we had no reservation we were found a table quickly. The menu was quite small but then when it is you know dishes will be cooked for you in an establishment of this size. Nothing about the evening disappointed, the food was... More

I've been here before, on a previous summer trip, and had a similar good experience. We arrived too early for lunch per se, so had the breakfast/brunch menu. (Slight annoyance that these time restrictions exist.) One orders from a paper checklist, paying for the number of items. They're each quite small, but one can eat very well, and not too... More

When in Denmark, you have to try the Danish Open Face sandwich. A great place to sample this is in Copenhagen, at the Cafe Wilder. The food is well assembled and presented in a professional manner. Add terrific service, and you've got the Danish experience under your belt. You'll be glad you did. The setting is peaceful and stately. The... More

We had beautiful afternoon tea and sweets. Nice on street tables; very friendly waiters. IceCream, Coffee, all are brilliant.

After a lon walk round Copenhagen we cam across this small eatery on the corner of a street. There wasn't much space, but we were well served. We got just what we wanted - a light nourishing snack to keep us going!

Rødspættefilet and tartar with a nice Carlsberg to accompany these classics - perfect. Been eating and drinking here for more than 30 years and it's still exactly the same.

After a recommendation, we went for breakfast. It was so good we immediately made a reservation for dinner, and were not disappointed. Certainly a cafe style atmosphere with casual but friendly and helpful service. The meals consisted of excellent ingredients cooked in a seemingly simple style but full of flavour, and very interesting.

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighborhood Profile
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
