Wife and I popped in for early dinner (we had been traveling for a good 24 hours and were really tired - our rule of thumb: worn out and starving in a new city - go for Italian! Sort you out more often than not). I had a bruschetta (solid 10/10) followed by grilled salmon with veg (8/10) - half... More

Given our experience at Il Ponte I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews. Four of us stopped in on a Saturday night; the restaurant was almost full but there was a table for four available. I don't remember what any of us had but I do remember that it was good and that our service was good.... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff and was my favorite meal of the trip. The house wine was also excellent.

I'm not joking about the above. Rankest Italian food ever. Prawn and garlic starter was handful of frozen prawns in tomato sauce not the fresh garlic prawns as expected. Main was spaghetti with seafood, so five mussels, chopped up fish sticks and the same god awful prawns from the starter . One mussel was stuffed full of garlic purée. Yes... More

I only rarely write unfavorable comments about hotels or restaurants, but this one, I cannot recommend. We were there tonight in a party of 9. I ordered "fish of the day" which was supposed to be "sea brass". The only other fish on the menu was salmon and I did not want salmon. I also wanted a small salad which... More

We hadn't booked but found Il Ponte by chance - they had a few tables of people eating when we arrived but plenty of space to fit us in with a very friendly welcome. Food was delicious and the service from the staff was very helpful.

Nice decor and the bruschetta was great. Everything else was, however, really disappointing. We had 4 dishes (lamb, lasagna, beef pasta and fettucini alfredo). Universally lousy and the service was less than efficient. We felt taken and have zero interest in returning. There are many other and better places to eat in town.

Friendly staff! We we're going around Copenhagen searching for somewhere to eat at 22.00 in the evening. They said the kitchen was closed but still gave us some lasagna! Ok food and drinks. Great atmosphere!

Very much dissapointed in both the quality of the food as in the service. Lasagna was served cold (but quickly - so warmed up in the micro wave oven?) and unfortunately it was fresh! After asking to reheat my dish it came back cold and in a cold plate for a second time. This is unacceptable, and the waitress was... More

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
