Good food, cozy ambience at excellent prices – but bad organisation

Service: we asked for a bottle of vine and the waiter brought us already opened cold bottle of Barolo, put it on the table and went away. We remain so astonished by this, because in any restaurant everywhere in the world the waiter should open it behind the table, let the clients try it and then serve the vine. So... More

I've had dinners here a couple of times and I've never been disappointed! The service is friendly and will answer all your questions, the price very fair and the dishes full of taste and fresh ingredients! If you get a spot at the bar you have more room than at the actual tables in the front part of the restaurant,... More

We had the tasting menu which was overall very good value, the ethos seems to be quality ingredients done simply in Danish style. For the most part this made for a tasty and balanced meal, especially the pigeon breast and steak tartare. I will say they could have done something a little more interesting with the root vegetables - especially... More

Rushed in late for our reservation, to find out there was none. Nevertheless, we were given a nice table in a very friendly manner. Foodwise, we had the tasting menu w/ 12 courses, all wonderful, including the desserts and well worth the price. We left with a very full belly. Staff was friendly, fun and helpful - not at all... Across their various Copenhagen restaurants, Madklubben works with essentially the same concept of offering a set menu for a very fair price (at two seating per night) – you can then add a number of optional add-ons or alternatives to the set menu (at an added price). Personally, I would like the prices to be simple and transparent, so I... More

Visit with a group of 12 colleagues and we were early with a table reservation at 6.00, and the restaurnat was nearly empty. The basement is rustic and informal and we got to sit alone in the big "hall" in the back. The menu is limited with 5-6 main courses, but only one "catsh of the day" fish course and... More

I was with a medium-sized business group. We all ordered the tasting menu (10 servings). The first 5 or six were a disappointment, but the final four were excellent. The pork cheeks are amazing (highly recommended). A fun place.

Went to the Madklubben for dinner and chose the tasting menu. The 12 courses were delicious, nice variety of fish, duck, vegetables... Regarding quantity more than I could master. Service was friendly, competent (answered questions on ingredients) and accommodated my request for breaks between the courses. The temperature was a bit warm but that didn't spoil my evening. Price wise... More

We had saturday dinner at this place. Quite busy, and very hot (note: we got seated next to the kitchen, so that might be why). Twe food and service was good (but not as good as at Madklubben Vesterbro). The area surrounding the restaurant is very hip and happening, so it is easy to find a place for drinks after... More
