Try the amarena cherry, the chocolate and caramel. It's amazing and well worth the wait. I normally chose a cup rather than a cone as the portions are normally bigger ;)

I've been regurlarly visiting Ismageriet ever since they opened and it is still a tasty pleasure everytime. No one makes ice cream as smooth and tasty as that now not so small anymore place in outer Amager.

Situated oddly far away from any tourist location, they serve the best ice cream that I've ever had in Denmark. Pay them a visit if you're around, it's definitely worth it if you like ice cream 😉

This is a very popular place with people waiting up to half an hour for an ice cream cone. It's probably worthwhile. It's not the best in Copenhagen but maybe the largest!

The ice cream might be the best in town (though I cant say because I've only tried ice cream here), but I would not say it's the best i've eaten, or even close. It's perfect if you are craving ice cream, but nothing to shout about. (maybe I got the wrong flavours)

Great home made ice cream. Interesting varieties and big portion sizes. Friendly staff that work efficiently, so don't get scared if there is a big line, it moves quite fast.

Ismageriet is located (unfortunately) outside the Copenhagen center but it's worth visiting if you really like good iscreme which is not coming from a big factory. Don't be afraid if there is some queue outside, that's very normal , probably since this place is very popular. As far as I know you can also buy iscreme boks to take home... More

Staying in Amager

Neighborhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
