Traditional pub environment with helpful and friendly staff that spoke English fluently. I ordered the steak (medium), comes with fries and salad. The steak came out medium-rare. The waiter was very helpful in taking the dish back and the steak was returned - cooked to...More

Eat indoors or out, as either setting is fine. The food is genuine Danish and quite good: herring, fish cakes, salads, everything was fresh and tasty. Staff very helpful in offering choices and ideas for our non-danish party of six.

This restaurant was recommended to us so we had our first lunch here. The staff were really helpful as we are not Danish speakers. My friend and I each had a salad beautifully prepared and delicious. We returned for our evening meal later in our...More

I visit this place twice a year and will continue until I die. It reminds me about everything that's good about the local food in Skåne, Denmark and Northern Germany. Herring, pork, beer and Aquavit! What joy and pleasure. Generous portions, made with pure love...More

Our bellman told us that this was a place that locals go to. If so, they're smart. It was a great meal. Traditional Danish fare in a wonderful setting. Across the street was a hostel and my wife and I just loved watching the kids...More

Quality restaurant with large portions. Reasonable prices by Copenhagen standards. Shared a dinner platter for two with my dad. Had a wide variety of foods which we both enjoyed. Would recommend.

This restaurant came highly recommended by several sources and we were very disappointed. There were four of us dining and the only things we liked were the herring appetizer and one person order a steak and thought it was pretty good. The restaurant is rustic...More

This is a very cosy, gastro style restaurant. It has a great atmosphere in the evening and very friendly staff with great English. The food is delicious and very authentic. I had a medium rare steak, completely covered in crispy mash with a tasty sauce....More

When I looked for restaurants in Copenhagen for our 'three generations' visit, Puk stood out as offering outstanding Danish food at a (relatively) reasonable price. Happily we were able to fit in an al fresco lunch here a few days ago. The food was staggeringly...More

I was lucky to be staying right across the street from this restaurant. I swung in right before the kitchen closed, and they sorted me out with a delicious steak on a plank with whipped potatoes. I returned two nights later for a second go...More

Description
Restaurant PUK is a classic and historic Danish restaurant in the very heart of Copenhagen. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Copenhagen with a history dating back to 1750. Here came the Danish King Christian VII along with his mistress in the late 19th century when they were in town together. You can enjoy all the traditional Danish courses crafted with a blend of respect for tradition and a pride in the art of cooking and the best products from Danish farmers.
