Before going, I heard at least three good recommendations for the place... in less than 24 hours! It was really worth it. The terrace is really nice set up, in a quiet square, even being in the centre of the city, near to the main station. I had a Puk special beer and the Smørrebrød with baked fish, shrimps and... For Copenhagen standards not very expensive restaurants with authenthic food. Expect at least 40 euro per meal per person. Did not have the tartar. The menu to share was good the herring salad had a lot of salad and little smoked herring. Quite a long wait and staff not attentive or too amicable

The food was decent and nicely presented, but reminded us of the food you'd get in a cafeteria on one of the old ferries between Sealand (Sjælland) and Funen (Fyn). The staff was quite helpful and nice. We left without eating dessert because the main course had been underwhelming.

We are 2 couples and wanted somewhere authentic Danish for an evening meal. We were delighted with both the setting, the service and the food. The decor inside is traditional Danish in a sunken level of a town centre building also with a pleasant outdoor seating area. Service was swift and helpful. Food was everything we had hoped for. We... More

We visited as our last meal of our trip to Copenhagen and were blown away. The servers were friendly, funny and knowledgeable. I had the roast beef which was sublime and my friends had the veal which they loved. Their own beer wasn't bad either! Would definitely return when back in Copenhagen.

Just a delightful dinner, we were the only tourists there. We love to eat at restaurants frequented by local folks, and Puk did not disappoint. I had the wienerschnitzel and spouse had the plank steak - both were excellent. Prices and service both were right on target.

I've been there in January while I was on holidays, I looked on the web and I decided to go there jus out of a felling and I didn't regret my choice! The food was absolutely stunning and the salmon you see in the pictures was possibly the best I had in years. It's not cheap, I'll tell you that,... More

We were visiting Kobenhavn and lodging in its historic district, so we asked the hotel front desk for a recommendation for a restaurant serving local cuisine. Puk was the number one recommendation. We walked over and were delighted to enjoy a dinner alfresco in the light-filled evening even though the temperature was in the mid-50s Fahrenheit and rain showers were... More

Description
Restaurant PUK is a classic and historic Danish restaurant in the very heart of Copenhagen. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Copenhagen with a history dating back to 1750. Here came the Danish King Christian VII along with his mistress in the late 19th century when they were in town together. You can enjoy all the traditional Danish courses crafted with a blend of respect for tradition and a pride in the art of cooking and the best products from Danish farmers.

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
