Small restaurant but popular serving good hearty food at reasonable prices. Artwork is by various artists who used to live locally or who frequented the restaurant. If you want to eat local dishes supporting a small business rather than a chain this is the place to come. Service is good so long as you get in before a large crowd!

We went here on a Friday and were lucky enough to get the last table. From a short menu we chose Danish style hamburger and liver. They were excellent, good sized helpings and brought out quickly. The interior of the pub is amazing, the walls and even the ceilings covered with art and pictures of - I presume - Danish... More

on the recommendation of our hotel we took the short walk to the restaurant located in an alleyway very noisy pub like atmosphere with a pianist and singalong. so we sat outside next to the construction going on even at night Their mini platter with a range of dishes was good value, buyt not all of it could be called... We visited it in a rainy Sunday evening. The atmosphere struck us immediately, we felt like in a Woody Allen movie. It is so cozy, that we felt as if we were real Copenhageners! The all-wooden interior, the lovely ladies in the bar and of course the nice food and the cold beer made us really enjoy ourselves. Copenhagen is... More

We went on the recommendation of our hotel. Reviews are accurate, traditional Danish food, good sized portions, well-cooked, good atmosphere. Sadly, we arrived 4 minutes late for a family booking for 8. We were met rudely and discourteously outside and told we would have to order quickly. Had I not been with my elderly mother-in-law I would have taken our... More

We visited this bar/restaurant at the recommendation of the desk clerk in our hotel and loved it. It is a traditional Danish bar/eatery down a side street from the major shopping street in central Copenhagen. The service was friendly, as everywhere we have been in Copenhagen is, and the food was wonderful and, because it was traditionally Danish, generous in... More

My wife and I had a great dinner at Restaurant Skindbuksen during our recent visit to Copenhagen. The crackling skin port with purple cabbage was excellent. Atmosphere is cozy but busy with locals coming and going, and playing the piano. Service was great too. I recommend.

If you looking for Danish food, this is a good place open on Sunday's Food is a little too full of sauces and stuff so I don't think that's the best Danish restaurant in town but still ok. The place is nice and clean though and they are very friendly.

Small pub conveniantly located close to the one of the ends of Strøget. Went here for Smørrebrød on an calm Sunday afternoon (served until 17:00). Good service and friendly staff. A good variety of sandwiches to choose from, most quite simple with canned esparragus and mushrooms in stead of fresh veggies which was a bit dissapointing. The tartare on Danish... More
