Very nice place with very good Italian food. Been there several times and have never been disapointed.

Great wine, wonderful eating experience, fantastic decor. Not for people looking for a big feed or cheap prices, but if you're a foodie and you can afford it, then it's a must.

This is a ¨feelgood¨place for people that like Italian cooking and food. The preset menu is limited, but it does not matter when the kitchen is flexible and interested in keeping their guests happy. The service at the table was excellent and quite Italian. I liked that a lot. We got very tasty pre-pre starters and pre-starters and the Cannelloni... More

We came back here to celebrate another birthday. Still a very good place, charming and knowledgebale waiters and waitresses, but one should not take everything for granted. The cook that evening had obviously a love affair with his salt cellar I would have preferred not to be involved in. It was only one vegetable (pumpkin with the main course) where... More

Went there following advices, but deceived. The set up menu is not exceptional, too say something. Antipasti elaborated but not delicious. Pasta too fancy, not real italian. Main course deceiving. We had guinea fowl breast in a vegie sauce...taste as regular chicken breast with creamie sauce. All together a bit pretentious? Definitively not worth the money. Service outstanding! Very kind... We have been in all 3 Famo restaurants in Copenhagen!! And we absolutely love it! As a dutch-latvian couple we have lots of guests coming over and it's safe to say - this is the place to take them to. The one in Saxogade is the one we take our moms to. Not too cozy place (tables sooo close to... More

Famo follows a concept introduced some years ago to Copenhagen (I think by L'altro on Torvegade): set menu of antipasti, primo, secondo and dolce, no choice (all is decided by the cook). A few years ago Famo served seven antipasti, this has, alas, been reduced to four - which is a pity because the antipasti usually are the most varied... More

Took 20 mins to seat me after chef forgot to tell hostess I was waiting for my table. They offered a glass of wine while I waited but 20 mins in 50 degree weather is a bit unacceptable. They only sat me because I went back inside to complain otherwise I could have been out there for longer. Food was... More

This was our best meal while in Copenhagen for 5 days. It was a prix fixe menu more or less. The antipasto sampler was delicious. We had a couple of choices for main dishes. They order only enough for the evening so one of the options was no longer available. The pasta course was perfectly prepared. We loved every part... More

This restaurant is Italian, and dishes are made with mainly Danish produce. The problem is, they only have a set menu, which consists of 3 or 4 shared antipasti, a 'primo', main course and dessert. If you try to order just (say) a starter and main, it costs more than the 380DKK for the all-in (about £44, which sounds fairly... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
