Based on Tripadvisor reviews we made our way through some (frankly unpromising streets filled with tattoo parlours) back streets - but when we found the restaurant our fears disappeared. A very warm welcome awaited, and the promise of excellence did not disappoint. From a tremendous gin and tonic (flavoured with frozen cucumber juice) to a great selection of wines, ending... More

In a city where good eating is very expensive this place is a real find. We had the four course menu (the minimum really as all dishes are fairly small but the flavours are really intense). The mussel soup and the elderflower yoghurt dessert stand out in one's memory. Many of the ingredients were locally sourced or "hedgerow" and prepared... More

Atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. Food was simple, good, fresh and light! The prices are good for what you get and the staff were very nice.

Ala carto and course menu available but recommend course especially 5 dishes. All fine taste and well balanced with French style. Inside also really nice. Can be used for special day.

This place is so good that my son stopped being an atheist. "This mussel soup is soooo good, it has to have been created by a higher power". We turned up with no reservation but bags of charm, so they did give us a table. The table was long and separated by windows that made you want to knock on... More

We had a three course menu. Only one of the dishes served was interesting, the rest were bland (but not bad). The wine pairing consisted of mostly cheap wines so it was difficult to appreciate the combination of tastes. At the prices charged it was not worth it. When advertised as gourmet one should expect hard criticism. On the bright... More

Found this place at short notice just around the corner from where we were staying, booked online, lucky to get a table as they were turning couples away in front of us! Went with 4 course menu with taster wines to match. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. No rush, lovely staff helpful and attentive, great balance of food and wines. The... More

Went to Cofoco Restaurant on a Thursday evening (without reservation) with 2 visiting friends. The restaurant was fully booked inside (really nice cozy interior) so we had to sit outside which was not a problem in summer month. My friends don't eat beef/veal and we were informed that the 5 course menu can be catered for them by changing the... More

I found this place while waiting for my take-away order across the street. It was 1 block away from the apartment that I rented for a week. Boy was I glad to come. The service was so welcoming. The staff was helpful and pleasant. I was travelling with my in-laws and they had a few questions about the menu. The... More

Overall my dining experience at Cofoco was awkward and disappointing. When I made a reservation, I made it clear one of the party had a dairy allergy, and asked if there were dairy-free options/could be accommodated. Cofoco replied that yes, they accommodate that, no problem. I had also read reviews on TA where people noted their allergies had not been... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
