Our cruise started in Copenhagen and some friends recommended Noma. I reserved a table six months in advance and was glad that we did. Other people on our cruise tried to get tables weeks ahead and failed. What awaited us was an intense evening of competing flavor palates that was often overwhelming, but never disappointing. We felt welcomed, as if... More

As a chef myself, I'm always in seek of inspiration and culinary experiences that help me learn and appreciate this worlds diversity. I visited NOMA this year and since then my culinary beliefs have never been the same again. NOMA is an earthy experience, a reminder of how wonderful nature can look like in your plate and what an amazing... More

The welcome sets the tone for the evening. Our party of four were greeted by a cheer from a large group of staff, and we were smiling already. The ethos of the restaurant makes you think about the food you are going to eat. All the seafood is brought to you live on a platter before cooking, the whole barbecued... More

My wife and myself fly to Copenhagen to try 2 of the World Top 50 restn. We are very lucky that someone cancel the reservation and we were given the opportunity to eat in this restn. Chef Rene and his team give us a very Big and Warm welcome when we step into the restn. BTW, we are the 1st... More

I love this place. The whole experience is awesome. Great Interieur, very nice and educated service and funky regional ingredients prepared to perfection.

I had the pleasure of going for lunch and it was incredible! Lovely atmosphere, very hospitable staff but by no means intrusive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, it was a culinary tour of Denmark and I can't wait to return!!

It's true. Noma is excellent. But a review can't adequately convey the personality, warmth and creativity that encompass this restaurant. Noma is an experience. Noma is truly the restaurant of the future. Their entire system---from the chefs to the unique cooking facilities to the experimental food kitchen---is the next generation of restaurants. We loved the food. We learned so much... More

Eating at Noma is a culinary experience like no other. Don't think of this as just dinner. The food is part of it, but the other parts are the service, the locations, the kitchens and the interactions with the staff from all over the world. Everyone is sparkly and their intellect reflects the reputation of the restaurants. The dishes were... More

The overall dining experience was amazing, all the staff (service and chefs) were exceptional. That's how a restaurant should be run! Actually that's how all business should be run. It's all about team work and they nailed it! The food was very good, didn't like everything, but that's personal taste. One should definitely enjoy the Noma experience once in their... More

When an experience is great, its always a risk to go back. And again. So with a bit off fear i went to Noma for the 3th time in 3 years, and again it was great! The fantastic and very personnal staff, the 12 courses and the matched wines, in a fantastic but not at all formal setting - i... More

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighborhood Profile
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
