Ignore the exterior and the large neon sign, Krogs is seafood for the connoisseur Great food, lovely friendly atmosphere, knowledgable staff, and relaxing surroundings. The food is beautifully presented, fresh, and exquisitely cooked. The langoustine were the best I've eaten anywhere. The portions are a...More

A great place in the centre of Copenhaguen. Mid-priced seafood and fish restaurant with attentive and professional service. We ordered a bouillabaisse soup, grilled lamb and grilled octopus and everything was tasteful! If we come back to Copenhaguen we'll repeat the experience undoubtedly!

We loved this place. It was attractively decorated in a slightly formal Scandinavian way with soft grays and nice art, including a large 1910 watercolor of the oyster beds of northern Denmark with vignettes in each corner of the frame. The food was excellent and...More

Our walking tour guide highlighted this restaurant for us as we wandered (although he incorrectly indicated it was a Michelin star restaurant). We were not dressed well, but were treated very well regardless. We popped in for a snack and had the fried herring, raw...More

Nice setting, and the staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was OK, nothing was bad, but it just didn't excite. My wife and I had raw oysters, the crab appetizer, tartar with lump fish roe (probably the best dish), bouillabaisse and Dover sole...More

Perfect dinner with excellent service and great food, and reasonably priced for Copenhagen which is normally very expensive. Also I had a special diet this time and the really went out of their way to prepare it which was very much appreciated.

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its
blend of charming old buildings and bold new
architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well
as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and

Krogs Fiskerestaurant has had an unsettled existence in recent years, with many different owners slowly but surely eroding the core concept at one of Copenhagen's most traditional restaurants. But now, Krogs is in the hands of people who take the grand old lady seriously. They have quietly spent the past 6 months in the kitchen to hit a culinary note that is uncompromisingly rooted in history, but also brings more than 100 years of Danish cuisine into the 21st century. From now on, Krogs Fiskerestaurant serves Danish classics with a personal touch - just no nonsense, honest food prepared from the best available ingredients. Their ambition is clear: offering the best seafood in the country, served in a pleasant and personal atmosphere - nothing more, nothing less.
