We shared one of the combination options with vegetarian and meat dishes and we both clearly preferred the veggie choices. The chicken dish with the eggs was also great but I’d suggest to go for one of the vegetarian options. Friendly service!

Waited more than an hour after our doro watt only to get something that wasn't "doro watt". Later they explained they had finished their doro which was why we had to wait so long. The dish we got tasted like pree cooked chicken (like the...ones you buy in the supermarket) in some tomato sauce with some berberre. Not something you should expect in a restaurant. By the look of pictures here on TripAdvisor I can see they are able to make real doro watt, in onion sauce that usually takes at least 2-3 hours to make btw, so I'm really disappointed. The other dishes we got were OK and the injerra was good. But the the doro, the main dish, and the service spoiled our experience at this place.More

As we are vegans we can't judge the meat offer, but some of our friends tried and they thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a simple place in a nice lively part of Copenhagen. The Injera and vegan dish was just extraordinary, we have been to ethiopian...restaurants all over Europe, from Stavanger to Rome and everywhere in between, and this is our favourite. Last summer we found it closed, temporarily. Let's hope they open again.More

Really happy to have found this traditional ethiopian restaurant in Nørrebro! The prices are 105 kr per person for the vegetarian option, 110 the one with meat and 115 the mixed one. The price is really convenient for the amount of food offered. I've loved...all the veggie sauces and the meat ones too, all of them with an amazing flavour! I also love the idea of eating with the hands and sharing the plate with the other person...it feels intimate and natural at the same moment. I will definitely come back and suggest it to all my friends!More

Do not come here unless you have a dansih credit card! After walking in and being told that there was an hour wait, we decided to wait... for an hour. Only after deciding our menu choices, and ordering with the waitress, were we told that...they ONLY accept danish credit card or cash! No signs, no notes on the menus, nothing on their website or social media stated this. Huge disappointment! Waste of a night in a city full of wonderful resturant. Don't waste your time too!More

First time eating Ethiopian food and it was a different experience. The food we ordered was lamb, chicken and then the chefs taster, all served on a large pancake with rolls of pancake to eat the food with. There was nothing wrong with the food,...however, it all began to taste the same as foods became mixed. The lamb was quite chewy although it was cut into small cubes. The staff were very friendly and the cost was DKK 410 for 3 with a beer each. Remember they do not take many cards, we had a Danish L&S card which they would not take, had to use mobile pay.More

The food was ok! I went there with a friend she ordered the vegetarian plate and i took the mixed one. The meat dishes weren't good, the meat was a bit chewy. The vegetarian dishes were good but the flavors weren't really there, no spices...at all. I expected a lot more favors. You could easily share one of the mixed plates if you're not super hungry, we could only eat half our dishes. You can only pay with cash or danish card or danish mobile pay and they don't tell you that in advanced so we had to go and take out money from an atm and go back and pay. We saw other guests in the restaurant that had to do the same, the place was overall unorganized.More

If you are looking for a great Ethiopian restaurant in Copenhagen, then this is it. Really nice traditional setting, great food and service is super quick. For me this is easily the best value restaurant in Copenhagen. A family of 4 can eat out with...soft drinks for around 550 Kroner. The restaurant only accepts cash and Danish cards but there is an ATM just down the road.More

Finally I found he opportunity to visit this restaurant after several recommendations many months ago. The surroundings are very humble and the atmosphere is buzzing. We were nine people gathered for a double birthday with the goal of enjoying each other's company and trying a...new experience together. We got exactly what we asked for. Traditionally, Ethiopian food is eaten with ones fingers, although a plate and cutlery is available for those that must... The food is served to share on large platters with the various meat and vegetable curries served on top of a large sourdough pancake. The servings are more than ample and the flavors were simply amazing!! Highly recommend for groups and ideal for those on a budget. Beer and wine available at very reasonable prices as well.More

This was our first time trying Ethiopian - we found this place in TripAdvisor and we are very glad we did! The place itself is quite casual, very clean and with lovely service. The chef’s platter we ordered was amazing, and it was so different...to what we normally eat:) Ma’ed made me want to try more of the Ethiopian cuisine.More

If you’re looking for a fast dinner which is cheap, then this is the place. Because all the stews are prepared ahead of time, the only waiting time is for the pancakes. My friend an I ordered the chefs special, which is a combo of...the most popular dishes. It was so much food and very tasty. Not the best Ethiopian I’ve tried, but the best in Copenhagen for sure. We had a Coca Cola, a beer and water with the food and our total was 274,- dkk. The service was also very nice and quick. The do pay attention to your every need. Highly recommend!More

Loved the food. We had the mixed sauce one with my girlfriend, generous portions. Ambience is not much, they take cash unless you have a Danish bank card then that's acceptable for POS payment. Played African Ethiopian music. Loved it, definitely felt like home. Took...my boyfriend second time and they did not disappoint. Will be back again and again. Lol someone asked about reservation. Just walk in :you don't need one- it's that casual.More

The place didn’t look very impressive and I’d never tried Etiopian food so I didn’t know what to expect. However, the food was really good and the staff was so nice. It had a great atmosphere, a lot of customers and the price was also...very fair. Definetely going back!More

This is one my first visit to Ethiopian restaurant. Experience was good. They had interesting menu and interesting way of serving. It was such a good experience of eating in same plate and sharing food with friend. The food was really tasty and reasonable amount for...two people. It was really filling. Restaurant was cozy and suitable for a casual dining. Only thing it took quite some time for serving food. May be because of having too many variety in one plate..More
