How often have you been sitting in a really expensive gourmet restaurant thinking that it tastes amazing, but for this price the portions really should be bigger? Well, this is that gourmet restaurant that have normal size dishes. And normal prices. On top of that the recommended wine compliments the dishes perfectly. Add an attentive, hospitable and friendly staff, and... More

The food here is excellent and the staff are especially accommodating. My wife is a vegetarian and although the menu for vegetarians ism limited they really looked after her and made lots of adjustments! I would highly recommend if visiting Copenhagen! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We were lucky enough to book dinner here on New Years Eve Eve. It was a little out of the city centre, a nice 15-20 min stroll from where we were staying. we had looked at the menu before arriving and did not fancy any of the starters but on arrival were told of the 3 course set menu at... More

We spend our New Evening at Degas. It was an extraordinary evening with five well composed courses. I was our first, but definitely not last time, we spend an evening at Brasserie Degas.

Ate there last night. Had the three course set menu and it was easily one of the best meals we've ever had. Absolutely superb. Well worth the short walk out of the town centre.

Had very good meal here. Small and original menu, well presented good tasting food, cosy atmosphere. Knowledgeable and polite waiter. On the pricey side but probably not too bad for Denmark.

Fantastic! So good to find a restaurant that excels in every way. Was offered the daily special menu - a choice of two wonderful sounding starters, mains & desserts - which made deciding so much more difficult as based on previous reviews the mussels & the steak were already in my head. In the end I went for the mussels... More

We arrived early and the restaurant was empty (6.30pm) and we nearly turned around to find another place to eat but fortunately we didn't. The menu is small but the food is impeccable. The waiter was incredibly attentive and very knowledgable. Desserts were outstanding. At 310 krone per head for a 3 course meal this was very good value for... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Degas Brasserie. From the Forum metro stop it's an easy 15 min walk through a lovely neighborhood. The restaurant has a small cozy feel and is very friendly and approachable. Although the food is rather special, the atmosphere is not at all stuffy or snooty. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and helped us... More

Service, food, atmosphere, location .... everything was perfect. Probably the best waiter I've had in all of my recent trips. The dishes were phenomenal. Keep doing what you're doing, this place is just awesome. Thank you very much for a splendide evening 15/10

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
