We called into the restaurant to book a table on the recommendation of our hotel. The restaurant was busy, but not so busy as to feel overcrowded. A good selection of dishes on the menu, with the option to try several smaller style sharing plates. The cauliflower curry was delicious. A huge selection of wines available, but these were a little on the pricey side for wines sold by the glass in smallish measures.

Our personal restaurant (thanks to COVID)

The place has a nice chic to it; something between posh and rustic. Our business meeting was very intimate as the place was practically empty midday (but this is probably due to the COVID-related restrictions which now apply in Copenhagen. Had the tartar which was decent and the salmon toast which was good. My colleague tried the mushroom toast which seemed creamy and delicious. Added with soft drinks, coffee and service the overall charge was 900 DKK. Reasonable.

Visited on a busy Saturday night without a reservation however the hostess couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. All staff were friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious, however don't get 3 dishes each it was too much. It is quite expensive however I do think it was worth it as all food was delicious. Particularly the burrata, baked cod and roast lamb.

Poor food quality and waaay too expensive. They also bill you for tap water without letting you know beforehand. Risotto was thin and too salty to eat. The Steak was good, but the sauce was very salty and it came without any sides Oyster came with lemon and some generic chili sauce. Vegetarian girlfriend asked for burrata without anchovies, but was served with anchovies. They asked if she could just pick out the anchovies instead. Sangria tasted okay, but should have ordered glasses instead of a jug which was more expensive than buying separate drinks.

Terrible client service. We made a reservation for 16 people but 1 had to cancel due to a health issue. We prevented the restaurant several hour before the reservation time but they refused to understand and once we were there they made us pay fir her meal which they didn’t even serve. Truly outrageous They lost 15 clients.

Very disappointing after reading previous reviews

After reading the wonderful reviews about this restaurant we had high hopes of a lovely meal. Unfortunately the meal was so disappointing. We shared several small plates of which included the said recommended risotto. This was the worst risotto I have ever had served to me. The other dishes included Italian cheese which was very bland. The Lumpfish - tasteless. Only dishes I would give pass marks were the squid and veal and they were really nothing special. We opted to compliment our food with the wine of the week - An Austrian Riesling which we were advised was a top wine. Again nothing special. The restaurant does have a good atmosphere but seriously let down by the food produced. Is this perhaps because we have eaten in restaurants all over the world. We are fortunate to stay close to Edinburgh and frequent second to none restaurant and are obviously spoilt. Sorry Pate Pate your food did not deliver for us Scottish diners.

This place was so good we visited twice on our recent visit to Copenhagen. The first time we selected off the menu the second time we had the buffet on both occasions the food & service was very good. In comparison to other restaurants this offered good food at a very reasonable price.

We got to this restaurant by accident, the restaurant we were going to (Bosch bistro) was closed for some reason and we went here. The interior of the restaurant made a good impression and we decided to stay. It was the first and last pleasant experience in this restaurant. I do not consider myself a restaurant critic, but I hope that my experience will help you when choosing where to go for dinner. At first we were in anticipation of something delicious. This opinion was prompted by a beautifully and seriously prepared wine cellar. the general impression with which we left this institution was as if you had taken an exam for students from a cooking school. the chef in each dish tried to find new tastes and ways of serving, but the result was incompatible tastes, and a hungry client. Each dish was so abundantly salted that we already joked that everyone who passes by the kitchen salts your dish just in case, what if the chef forgot?!)) . it would seem that it was possible to spoil a dozen oysters? the first is, of course, their size, they were so small and wrinkled so forlornly on a mother-of-pearl bed that their very appearance was in doubt. sauce for oysters, this is orange jam .. unexpectedly and not tasty, absolutely did not fit oysters (author's note). to the request to bring classic vinegar, onion, chili. the waiter willingly brought vegetable oil with onions from the kitchen. Dinner cost us around DKK 2000 plus service charge. we no longer want such experiments, and we do not recommend it to you. good luck and bon appetit.

Ok food, bad service, can't do allergies

The food is just ok, the portion sizes are odd, the side potatoes came too late, the waiter is too busy flirting, it took 2 hours to serve a crab salad and steak tartar. One of the party had an allergy which they took and then served food containing the allergy, was difficult to trust anything they served when it came back but just with less on the plate, not good enough, it looked sad. Deserts looked basic, probably delicious but eton mess is lazy and no attempt to make it look nice.

Wonderful place with on point food and service

I have been at this restaurant several times, for dinner as well as just for a quick coffee stop! It has always been lovely. The atmosphere is romantic and stylish with good music and a lot of space to eat. The waiters are super friendly and helpful also when it‘s extremely busy. But the best thing is their delicious food. Risotto, Ceviche, Hake,....always on point and cooked to absolute perfection. Big recommendation ✨

We got lucky and scored a walk-in table for 2. Great dishes, specifically monk fish and a local fish I’m guessing starts with “SK”, delicious veggie risotto and Hokkaido pumpkin - not sure it’s from Japan though…? All that aside, an eclectic place in Copenhagen’s meat packing district, never cheap but great service, very tasty and perfectly cooked food, highly recommend.

Too much Parmesan

Average food- they cover everything in Parmesan and the saffron risotto had very little, if none at all, amount of saffron. It obviously had lots of butter/stock/Parmesan that meant it didn't taste very special. Warming food and I did like the beef cheek with kale as this was a bit different. Our food came before our drinks. Not really special but probably a fun place for lots of friends. They say 2/3 dishes per person but because the food is quite heavy I would say this is too much. We had 3 plates between 2 of us and it was more than enough. Staff were very friendly

Great to sit outside and people watch. Food was mostly good though there were a few disappointing dishes (sea bass was too salty and we had to send the salad back as the leaves were brown ). The waiters are really quite rude and don’t make you feel welcome!

More of an experience, than a meal out

Definate recomendation. Great for an experience, patè patè will offer a taste of many dishes as part of the "patè expereice' option. Defolinatly give it a go, just have an open mind when ordering, as (for me) it was an experience of dishes I have never tried before.

What a SCAM!

We understand that Danes are used to paying a lot for everything, and food is no exception. But there need to be limits. Charging 165 DKK (22€) for a single, tiny, baby octopus leg sitting in the middle of the plate, like a solitary chocolate chip on a cookie, is not only ridiculous, it's outrageous. We didn't want to make a scene (in consideration to our sweet waitress, although the attitude of the other waiter would have deserved it), but the situation called for it. Shame on you, Pate Pate. You just want easy money. Forget about the many candles, we can’t eat those. We want what we pay for. We want FOOD. Wake up Danes! You're being ripped off!
