Restaurant Ravelinen is Danish kitchen at ist best - in 2016 nominated by the Danish food critics to best restaurant in Denmark. Ravelinen is a cosy garden restaurant overlooking the water around Christianshavn - 200 meters from Christianshavn Torv with Metro access. The garden can be covered by large awnings at the touch of a button, and our two pavilions offer cozy indoor environment. So a nice and informal setting overlooking the water - right in the center of town We make all our food with care so that the vast majority are made from scratch with fresh Danish ingredients and menus will continuously change how to follow seasonal ingredients.

Ravelinen is like being transported back in time - the happy ones when guests enjoyed traditional food and jovial company. But today the chefs are creating classics from the best produce, with imagination and a twist. The kitchen can be proud of it's very high...level of performance. The service is relaxed, but attentive and professional. Super. If you get a table with a view over the lake (old moat) all your christmases come at once....More

The best location for excellent food. This is a 15-minute walk from most international hotels and/or the centre of the city - a real flavour of Denmark in a lakeside location. Beautiful lakeside walks close by. When the sun comes out and Covid 19 finally...goes - head here to lift your spirits with some fine food and service. The wine list is excellent also.More

Holm’s Bakery with several addresses in Copenhagen has the best strawberry pie filled with vanilla cream and the mazarin base is perfect and coated with Belgian chocolate.

My gourmet friend and I went for the first time to Ravelinen for our Christmas lunch. We choose both their "Juleplatte" with 4 tasteful traditionel components. We were pleased with the quality and service. the 5. element "Ris a la mande" was a disappoinment, lag...of taste and far too fluid. Excellent service, nice surroundings and good selection of beer and snaps.More

The 65 year old gentleman that had a review about the schnitzel convinced me to try it as well. He was right...it is the best that I ever had..DELICIOUS Serving good and Copenhagen prices.

Ravelinen is an excellent outdoor restaurant located on "Christianshavn" near the center of Copenhagen, but only few tourists find it, which is a pity! Its location is historical overlooking the old fortification of Copenhagen, with main building more than 300 years old. Combined with excellent...meals at fair, but not low price, this should be more known (in my opinion). Their "Smorrebrod" is outstanding well prepared and fresh, and their evening menu is also high quality of food and preparation, along with good and friendly service.More

With a tasty looking menu, a nice view and a friendly greeting, we weee excited at trying this place. But this is where it ended. Seeing that no one had come to offer us anything to drink, take out order or anything of the like...25 minutes after we were seated, we simply decided to get ul and leave. The restaurant was less than half full so clearly it was just a case of wait staff that were inattentive and in absolute no hurry to serve guests. Bottom line, if you have a lot of time to spare and not very hungry then maybe you could consider this place.More

The restaurant offers a menu full of tasty and delicate options in a very relaxed and friendly ambiance. Because of its location at the edge of a park, guests get to enjoy the exquisite scenery surrounding the restaurant. Their food is superb yet not overpriced,...certainly value for money. I highly recommend the place and would love to eat there again.More

If you are looking for typical Danish "sandwich bread" (rye bread with different spread), this place just gives you a little more. Each piece of "sandwich bread" you receive on a plate, nicely arranged with the best vegs of the season. Lovely surroundings next to...the water in the old ramparts. Good atmosphere and nice staff. We gladly recommend this place and look forward to coming again.More
