We are some friends who have been to Ravelin a few times to eat. You can really see and taste that everything is homemade, it tastes just a tad better, and the waiters are good and professional. The place has a lovely view over the lake and at the same time it is centrally located in Kbh. Can be highly recommended.

From the moment I ordered a table for lunch for two, I felt welcome. There was good information about the upcoming experience. When we arrived at Ravelinen we were very welcomed by a smiling waitress (as well as a really cute dog).
Well placed at the table overlooking the water, we were presented to a truly well-organized menu that was adapted to the season. And then came the food; a better composed piece of butterbread must be long sought in the restaurant world. I don't want to write about the food itself - you have to experience it yourself.
But overall: Good cozy atmosphere, nice well composed food, smiling polite and well-oriented staff. And then there's the dog, the one to greet.
If you come around Christianshavn then Ravelinen is a place to experience.

I imagine that Restaurant Ravelinen is still an insider's tip, perhaps because it is a bit secluded by Christianshavn's ramparts, perhaps because the place can appear as a culinary haven in the otherwise food-experimental times. I have been visiting Ravelin for a number of years now. It has been a great experience every time, not least because of the committed, incredibly nice people who are behind it. So far I have only met the waiters, but I have the feeling that the employees behind the scenes thrive in the same way. Try to stop by, for example, for the restaurant's fantastic Christmas lunch!

Undoubtedly beautiful place, as in the photos practically on the lake. End of the positives. We ate an anonymous shrimp cocktail, a slice of salmon and, main course, some undercooked cauliflower with something on it that looked like hazelnut ice cream. Honestly it’s better to spend a little more and go downtown, it’s not even cheap - 100 euros drinking water

I have reviewed the place several times before and do it very much again. It is always worth visiting Ravelinen whether it is for lunch or evening.
The food is super delicious - classic cuisine, which is raised a level up and which is always made with the finest raw materials. And you always stay full.
The service is sweet, present and attentive - one feels well received and well treated every time.
All this, combined with the place being beautifully situated next to the tomb at Christianshavn, makes the experience something special.
If you have not visited Ravelinen yet, look to get it done. You'll be happy.

Preben Brink was gracious in arranging the reservation far in advance building excitement for this much anticipated meal in an exquisite setting. Gorgeous.
Staff questioned ordering two entrees (quail and steak)…fair enough…but for one person traveling 6,000 miles, neither was to be missed.
Although table was booked through 10:30 PM staff showed no interest, didn’t ask if meal was OK, began clearing the table at 9:50 PM and did not offer a dessert menu/option.
Must be first time this diner left no tip (zero) and left angry from what could have been a fine dining experience.
Opinion: Food: excellent. Experience: deplorable.
Recommendation: Preben! Get some real wait staff.

If you're in Copenhagen, turist or citizen, you should give your self a great experience, by visiting Ravelinen, for a lunch, coffee or dinner.
I've had many visits over the years, bringing customers in small and large groups, and also family and friends to Ravelinen.
Each of all visits, have been great experiences, and not only the food and wine, but also the service - you'll always get a big smile and the best possible attention from the staff
I really encourage you to visit the Ravelinen - Don't miss it !

Was here with family and had lunch with delicious, well-prepared fresh smørrebrød, which we could enjoy with the nice view of the lake. My aunt thought that the shooting star was probably the best she had tasted, and that's saying a lot, because she's over 80! Good and attentive service and on top of that there was non-alcoholic draft beer on the menu. Another pleasant day and a good experience for the taste buds at Ravelin - not without reason that the family has been coming here for many years.

Ravelinen is a family favourite, and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and true to Danish traditions, especially the pickled herring and roast pork. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make it the perfect place for a holiday meal. Highly recommend!

This is a place that has it all: delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for a summer day's lunch, looking over the water watching the swans pass by as having tasty Danish food. The presentation of each plate was very beautiful, for example, having edible flowers. I will definitely come back.

Out for a meal with the family to celebrate my son’s exam. As usual the service was great. We really appreciate their approach of service quality food made from the best raw materials. If you down have room for the pudding, the Irish coffee is a splendid alternative.

There are many good reasons to visit Ravelin in Christianshavn. They make excellent food, which is classic with an updated expression and you are always full when you have eaten at Ravelinen.
In addition, they have wait staff that many other restaurants must be envious of; sweet, attentive, quick - in short, they are present in the perfect way.
Last but not least, the place is simply cozy and lies nicely next to the ramparts.
You will not regret visiting Ravelin.

This was a short walk away from the main town but so worth it (the neon name sign is not representative of the decor inside!!).
The view is stunning and we had a table next to the lake which was just so peaceful. The roof was up due to the temperamental weather (and even at one stage the rain flooded through a gap onto diners below, but the staff dealt with this efficiently and everyone was happy, even though a little wet!).
Our waiter was exceptional - friendly, addressed our 15 year old son (quite rare when eating out), was funny, attentive and I just wished I remembered his name!
The food was wonderful, the wine list comprehensive and I fully recommend this gem to anyone.

We had lunch at Ravelinen and everything we were served was superb. Very authentic Danish lunch dishes, made with very high quality ingredients and presented beautifully. The food was definitely 5 star. The only reason I have downgraded the review to 4 stars is because the service was incredibly slow.

Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
