Restaurant Kronborg is all about homemade food and coziness. We aim to serve tasty food focusing on the traditional Danish open sandwiches (‘smørrebrød’), great drinks and coffee brewed with passion. All in a cozy space where our guests feel welcome and have a great time. In short: The kind of place we would like to visit in our own free time…

Restaurant Kronborg, is a typically danish restaurant for lunch. They serve what is very common in Denmark, dark bread called rugbrød. On top you have all sorts of toppings from the menu. A must to try when you visit DK. This is a taste of...denmark, and you won’t regret! Remember SNAPS. Remember to make a reservation.More

Went there for late lunch and quite similar to another comment I was set at a table right next to the only other two guests at that time. Donno if this is their tradition but it’s quite annoying when you want to have your meal...quietly in a quiet restaurant and the only other guests were right next to you within a meter, not to mention that during all corona stuff isn’t it be nicer to seperate guests when all the other tables are available? Before setting me at the table and handed me the menu they asked me to use hand sanitiser in a rather inappropriate manner while I already did when waiting to be served. I understand the corona concerns but isn’t it as important to keep social distance when you are actl able to? Prior to that I waited for about 5 mins at the door bcz no one at all was there and even if they came out I can’t feel that I’m welcomed. I ordered an open sandwich and they forgot to give me the bread at first:) with only three guests there and they made such mistake. The worst part came when I ordered an iced latte. They put latte on the menu and the price is 30/33kr.- while the bill I got says my iced latte was 59kr.- the waiter explains that this is off-menu :) I paid it anyways but I can’t agree with the way they charge me. They could have explain it earlier while I’m ordering since such price difference between the two and the iced latte I got was horrible even if it’s priced 30kr.- The food was really nice but suffering from such service severely discouraged me going back again.More

We went my wife and I - got the "Tarteletter" which was outstanding. Also we got a "Pariserbøf" and a "Leverpostej" - my wife also got a salmon which was absolutely perfect. it was all out of this world. The staff was really kind. A...must go! We'll definitely come back for some "Snaps" 😉👌 It would have been 5 out of 5, if there was more options on beers (might be a little picky, since there was actually 10 or more) 🤔😉More

This restaurant was on our list for traditional Danish 'smørrebrød', open faced sandwiches. We arrived for lunch without reservations, but after a short wait, were seated in the bar area. While this room is not as atmospheric as the main dining room, we believe it...was a fortuitous as our waiter was extremely engaging and shared thoughts not only on the menu, but his parts of his Danish American upbringing. He literally kept us in stitches as he regaled us with stories of his American father’s experience trying to assimilate into Danish culture! We wanted to try traditional dishes therefore we settled on the smoked halibut with warm scrambled eggs, Kronborg's warm fried herring in soft onions and capers and Pan-fried veal liver with bacon and sour washed down with Nørrebro Brewery draft beers and Aquavit. While the herring and liver were not something I would order again just due to personal tastes, the halibut with scrambled eggs was delicious.More

We wanted a typical Danish meal so on the recommendation of Trip Advisor we booked the Kronborg for the special Danish lunch. We were not disappointed. There were 2 sittings for lunch and we opted for the 2nd starting at 2.15pm. When we got in...our names and coats were taken and we were shown to our table by Christian who looked after us very well and he also spoke excellent English which was great as my Danish is not good! The restaurant is very cosy, maybe even ‘hygge’ and was full but the food which was a set menu kept coming and Christian kept our drinks full. We had curried Sild, Christmas Sild (marinated herrings) and fried herrings, smoked salmon with scrambled egg, fried plaice (delicious and my husband’s favourite), Christmas sausage, liver pate, duck and pork 2 ways with red cabbage, cheese and then rice pudding with almonds and cherry sauce. ( I must admit to not looking forward to the rice pudding on account of school lunches many years ago and the rice pudding there which was horrible!) It was pretty food. With the meal we tried some Christmas snapps and on the recommendation of people on the next table a dill snapps and a bog myrtle snapps! They were drinking it! Not my favourite I would say but worth trying. We rolled out of there after 5 pm and didn’t eat for the rest of the day, We very much enjoyed our selves and would recommend this restaurant if you want an authentic Danish meal with hygge! Oh and the Danish flag was put on our table as we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. ( Flags are put out for celebrations in Denmark).More

We arrived and found this restaurant quite busy and were concerned about not having made a reservation but we were made very welcome straight away. We began with some akvavit, I tried a "reasonable" measure of the Kronborg Christmas Akvavit which was amazing. We had...some herring as our first course then I had the confit duck which was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly and we will definitely return the next time we are in Copenhagen. The Christmas Akvavit was so good I had to buy a bottle!More

We went here based on The suggestion of a local. This restaurant serves authentic Danish food and did not disappoint. The food is delicious and tasted as if they were prepared thoroughly- felt like a home cooked meal. Service was excellent. This restaurant only opens...for lunch, we were glad we made a reservation a day before when we passed by.More
