Really fancied a curry on our trip. The restaurant is very close to the central station in a very trendy part of town and close to our hotel. This was an amazing to Hotel takeaway. One of us did have a special request that was not on the menu, the owner simply stated he had a recipe from his grandmother and he simply made this to perfection. I highly recommend this place as...a eat in or takeaway the friendliness is over whelming and genuine.More

Food at this place was so good that we went twice.. it is not oily and not overly spiced…and the service was just excellent… I had mentioned stuffed paratha ( Indian stuffed flat bread) and sure enough it was especially made for us .. without...even reminding them. It is not on their menu at all… this is service…More

Our family of 4 had one of the best meals at this restaurant. The cheese and garlic naan were the tastiest we’ve had so far in Copenhagen, soft and delicious! The butter chicken, lamb and chicken briyani were also excellent and the meat from all...these dishes were perfectly flavored and were just so tender. The owners even gave us 3 kinds of chutney to sample on the house and the mint was amazing! Definitely worth the price and warrants another visit. Service was also good and the owners very friendly. Well done Al-diwan! We’ll be back for more!More

We were walking by and the smell of the food from the restaurant seriously stopped us in our tracks; we were looking for a place to have dinner and unfortunately had no reservations. The owner was kind enough to find us a table for two,...in what became a very busy evening where all tables were full. The food was honestly one of the best meals we had in Denmark over our 10 day travels here. Delicious! We had Indian cuisine in one other location and it honestly did not compare. . not at all. We would definitely come back on a future visit!! Also, everything was so clean and freshly "repainted" during the last few months. Great investment choice during the challenging downtime and created a super interior. Delightful. Thank you!More

I have eaten at Al DIwan many times, Simply put, it is just great. The biryanis are wonderfully spiced, upon request, they have prepared dished that were not on the menu (chicken Saag, onion kulcha) which were also just perfect. They must have one incredibly...talented chef in the kitchen!More

Booked a table through The Fork/Trip Advisor a week or so before we traveled to Copenhagen as we didn't know how busy it would be. As it happened we were the only diners when we arrived although it was early (7pm) on a foul weathered...Sunday night so no need to book but we did get a sizeable 30% discount on the food order (applies to a la carte menu only) so it was worth while booking Service was polite and professional. Food quality was very good - not quite as spicy as we're used to but very tasty.More

Great hospitality. Average food. We were here to try the new year menu. And we didn't really get happy with the dishes. Only the naan was awesome. However what won our hearts was the welcoming we received at al-diwan.
We ordered take away from here for New Years Eve. It was ready to go when we arrived to pick it up. Food was quite good. Next time I am in town, I will definitely stop in for the in-restaurant experience.
