- Firstly the service could be greatly improved. Our waitress wasn't present, she was unwelcoming and inhospitable. It seemed as if the waitress was going out of her way to serve us dinner.
- The menus are 'just' re-used A4 pieces of paper.
- There...was zero ambiance/atmosphere due to the lack of music, which is a crucial element in the hospitality industry. You could hear the pizza flour hit the floor, it was so quiet.
Whilst travelling through italy and eating a fair amount of Neapolitan pizza, i personally came to become a fan of using the "olio pepperoncino" (chilli oil) that is commonly placed on the table alongside chilli flakes.
Considering I was sharing a pizza with a girl friend who does not like spice, I kindly asked if I could please have some chilli. The waitress rudely replied "italians don't put chilli on their pizza- if you want chilli you could've ordered the Nduja pizza" being understanding, I asked if i could please have a side of nduja. The waitress replied "If you want nduja it has to go on the pizza and in the oven".
Having eaten nduja many times not in the oven I was confused and just accepted that no chilli was going to be available to heighten my pizza experience.
Furthermore,
- The Burrata Insalata was underwhelming. The Burrata itself was firm on the inside, rather than ooze out like a traditional Burrata.
-The wine menu was very strong, however a corkage fee of 150dkk was unfortunately an extreme turn-off. The only wine that was served by the glass was a house wine. More than one option, in my opinion would increase the amount of people ordering alcohol.
Leaving on a positive note, if you would like great pizza, with a tasty, dense, wood-fired crust and flavoursome topping, order a TAKE-AWAY at Pizza Propria!!
