We had lunch because of the lovely reviews and the location. It was great indeed! We had Smørrebrød. One Tenderloin of pork with onion sauté and pickled cucumber and one Bacon omelette from Funen with crisp bacon, home-made mustard and Dijon-mustard, beetroot, tomato, cucumber and rye bread. The omelette was served right at the table. Big portions. Food was delicious.... More

My business friends took me to this restaurant for dinner. The building itself is a few hundred year old home. We sat in the courtyard which was open to the sky. I had the lamb chop dinner and they had the steak. The chops were small and gristly. I was jealous the others had the steak which looked awesome and... More

If you manage to serve food for over 3 centuries in the same restaurant, what more can I say? Good location, very friendly service, exquisite traditional food and a tasty local stout. Top notch and highly recommended if you want to go for tradition.

I have not been here before so it was nice to be welcomed by the waiter who knew our names and why we were there without having to look at the booking list. Service was very good, no rush, attentive but not overpowering. We had booked a 5 course meal and there was good breathing space between each course. The... More

Whilst exploring Odense stopped off here for a much needed refreshment break. It is a charming old Courtyard Inn dating from 1683. The lunch consisted of a mixture of hot and cold Danish food and the herrings were superb. The helpings were plentiful.

What can I say... Fantastic food. I had the lamb racks and they were cut in front of me...the colour was perfect, and taste to match. Very nice rich flavours for our dishes. The service was good too... One negative thing was that when we arrived, they couldnt see my booking, and they placed us on a table next to... More
