INCREDIBLE VIEWS - LOVELY PEOPLE - & FRESH, DELICIOUS MEALS WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE? I happily call Restaurant Edam my favorite restaurant on Alonissos. Helen and her family prepare fresh, delicious, and beautiful home-cooked meals in an idyllic location overlooking the Aegean. In summer, you'll...More

We stumbled on this place having seen a tiny sign on one of our 'wanders' and it practically ended up being a home from home! In the week we had on the island, we had 2 evening meals here and 4 breakfasts. We kept returning...More

Spent several days staying near this charming restaurant and took a few lovely meals - breakfasts and lunch- here, on a magnificent terrace, overlooking the sea. This is a family run establishment and you will be met with the warmth and kindness reserved for a...More

Food was fine, house white fine, views to sea and down to harbour pleasant but just didn't like this as much as expected. But I would not discourage anyone from trying it for themselves.

As director of an International Writer's Retreat, I return each June to the beautiful island of Alonissos. This always includes time at EDEM. Owned by the most hospitable people, Helen and Orestes, I always feel as if I am spending time with "family." No other...More

Edem means "Eden" in English, and its setting is a bit of paradise. It is not located in the group of tavernas at the harbor–which are fine–but Edem can offer outdoor dining without motorcycles and cars passing by and its views of the Aegean are...More

During a long stay in Alonissos I ate breakfast at Edem often. The yogurt and fresh fruit was perfection, as was the coffee. All the traditional Greek food I tried for dinner was delicious. The tzatziki, calamari, moussaka, and octopus stew all demanded a repeat...More

This restaurant was the closest to our hotel at Paradise and we dined here after a busy day out due to comfort and convenience. The first time it was okay, a bit dearer than a couple of others but the staff were pleasant especially the...More
