One of the best restaurants. Traditional greek dishes with a gourmet flair at incredibly reasonable prices. There is a lovely garden and on the side a playground for children. Next to the restaurant there is a shop that sells very tasteful items that are not the usual souvenirs. They also sell wine and oil of impeccable taste and quality.

Today, I visited, "Ambrosia Garden" for a family lunch with friends. It is an excellent spot for a family or business lunch/dinner. The personel, the variety of plates the quality and the prices are always on top. If you want to feel like home and taste delicious plates you can visit Ambrosia Garden in Olympia.

We visited the Olympia Ancient Ruins and the Olympia Museum on 2/27/2020. In early afternoon, the rains came. Many tourists had the same idea to get out of the rain by having lunch. Ambrosia Garden restaurant seems to be the closest eatery. With others going in, we followed. The restaurant was filling up quickly. We got a cramp table upstair in the loft area. We chose their gyro lunch plate special for around 10 euros each along with ten ounce Fanta soda & Sprite soda bottles for around 2.5 euros each. Gyro meat was laid on top of a bed of potato fried with a flat pita bread underneath both. Meat was on the dry side and the sauce bland. The side salad was nothing to rave about either. We were expecting tastier Greek food when eating in Greece. Service was hurried as if they want you to leave ASAP.

This was where the bus stopped and unlike the character in the Dickens novel Great Expectations, I had meager ones. So I was both surprised and genuinely happy that the pork and pepper dish was so good, the service considerably better than anticipated and the waitress quick to correct any shortcomings and faster at responding to our changing needs. Beautiful spot just outside the site of the Olympiques here in Olympia.

Local cuisine utilizing the freshest products. The squash croquettes in tzaziki tasted directly off the vine. Friendly staff explained the vegetarian offering of the day and it was perfect. Moussaka hit the spot. Indoor/outdoor seating accommodates all needs. Bathrooms are sparkling clean with plenty of soap and sanitizer. Ambrosia is not in town. For me, this was relaxing. I would visit another time, beyond touring the ancient ruins.

There is no doubt that the food is excellent. It seems that the chef is using quality ingredients for preparing an amazing local mediterranean menu. The service is also second to none! We definitely enjoyed our dinner.
I should not forget the wine list is also interesting including interesting local wines.

We throughly enjoyed our meal! We enjoyed various homestyle Greek dishes including the stuffed grape leaves and Moussaka. The staff was also very friendly and gave us good recommendations for food and other activities in the area.

Closely located to the archeological site and museum, this is a good stop for a quick lunch. The food is good and prices aren't too steep, the service was faster than I had gotten used to locally. There's also plenty of goodies to buy as souveniers or snacks, varying from local candies to olive oils and honeys.

Very pleasant outdoor seating in this restaurant conveniently located just outside the museum and archeological site.
The food quality was rather average for the moussaka, stuffed vine leaves and quite poor for the gyros with very oily fries. The spring rolls with spinach were quite good.

We visited this great restaurant following recommendations from a local person. We were two families with young children. We enjoyed the delicious dishes and the kids spent some fun time in a small playground area there! Super nice people working, too!

We ate at this beautiful restaurant after exploring the archeological site. The welcome that we received was fantastic. The menu was broad and we had lots of choice. There were clean plates all round by the end! The children had chicken, wedge potatoes and vegetables. My husband had gyros and I had moussaka and salad. Each portion was very generous and entirely delicious. I 100% recommend this fabulous restaurant.

After a full morning of exploring the Olympia archaeological site and museum, relaxing under the vine covered pergola in the Ambrosia Garden restaurant was perfect. Cool drinks, swift and friendly service, and surprisingly reasonable prices were a very pleasant end to our visit. This family run restaurant boasts all homemade food which is delicious and beautifully presented. The Greek "spring rolls" were lovely and the Greek salad was gorgeous. We couldn't have been happier with this restaurant which happened to be in just the right place at the right time for us!
