In the middle of the main street and in the same time invisible. Trick is that is excellently integrated in the concave corner of two buildings giving place the little old church with bowing dome. Hidden behind this church, tasteful and also little restaurant with two spaces (inside the building corner and outside) smoothly combined. We ate two salads (don't... More

Sometimes you can just look at a restaurant and immediately understand that it is going to be good, ta Koumparakia is that kind of restaurant. Excellent, delicious, traditional Greek food in the most charming setting overlooking the jewel box 10c. AD Church of the Sotiros. The taramosalata, some of the best I've ever had, delicious horta and beet root salad.... More

I have to admit that "ta Koumparakia" is one of my favorite places to eat in Thessaloniki, an opinion that has been gradually shaped since I've been more than 50 times there over the past 3 years. What made me shape this opinion is the continuous improvement of this little restaurant's quality, food style, flavors and ideas without though losing... More

At the beginning, it would have been a very romantic evening with my sweet girlfriend. However, immediately, I thought that something was wrong. And I was right, definitely ! Just begin by the end. The Bill was very high and we even paid the water and the bread (which were put on our table without a word). The food, actually,... More

We tried this restaurant based on previous reviews and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away on a corner beside an old church. The food was simple but well cooked (best saganaki!) and we had several dishes which we shared between us. At the end of the meal we were offered a dessert of hot chocolate brownies and ice-cream. Very... More

Go ahead and try a bit of everything (we almost did) ! There is absolutely no way you can be disappointed. The owner was more than friendly and, when we told him we tried to avoid dairies, he offered us a soja ice cream topped with homemade chestnut cream… A total blast ! Unbelievable value for money, cozy deco, great... More

Good food, cosy place... also a very beautiful View the byzantium church of Transfiguration. It never feels like you are in the very centre of the town, you feel like a place at old ages ( views and delicious tastes)
