Excellent food. Typical tavern and really friendly staff. The best Karpathian fried shrimps on the island. I ordered sea food, both fried and grilled...everything was excellent. And the final shot of "Karpathian water" they use to offer brings lunch to a friendly end. I'll come...back for shure.More

Today was my saddest day in a long time in my restaurant experience. I did preodered big lobster and imaginated a farwel diner, which end up in very destroyed and unpleasant experiene. Lobster was hard like a rock,tasted overdried chicken filer ,i told the owner...and his mom . They did not react just charged 160 euros and that was it! All food is dry over there and just basic apetazers you can oder they are ok- dont go in to eat fine things. Please dont , you will be angry and waist your money! Owner ,he dont care how you feel anyway!More

Maybe slightly overrated. One of the nicest experiences in Lefkos was Flisvos bar down the road from Ammos. Really nice owners and Kalpana in their staff a star !

I returned to Lefkos after 10 Years as I was looking to check on the good memory I had from Taverna Ammos. this time I went there for lunch (diner time is more busy and you'd better make a reservation). The overall atmosphere of the...small and cosy place near the harbor, with its tables placed under the shadow of some old trees and a few others under the terrace, hadn't changed at all. Like 10 years ago I ordered the "Stuffed Calamari", a dish that I remembered as outstanding and so much different in taste than all the regular calamari dishes you can get anywhere else on the island. To my great delight, I was not disappointed in the least. Not by the exceptional cooking, nor by the professional and warmhearted service. Starting from the excellent bread with green olive paste, the perfect preparation of the main course (not only the calamari, bit also the amazing side salad made of I think slices of crab or shrimp, carrots and celery) to the little gifts that Alex and his mother are serving their guests for free: One or two liquors, fresh fruits and finally their homemade jam. I hope it won't take another 10 years to come back to this great place which still stands for a traditional Karpathian cuisine and doesn't seem to be seems unimpressed by the increasingly commercial and tourist hustle and bustle in Lefkos.More

We had lunch in this beautiful place 3 days in a row during our holiday in Karpathos. We ordered the fried calamari and the tuna and shrimps skewers and oh my goodness!!! Best food we’ve had on the island, hands down! Definitely get there by...1 pm cause it does get quite busy, and book your table if you want to go for dinner! The older lady and the young man running the floor are really lovely and kind, the place looks quite clean and the service is quick! We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone who loves fish.More

Must try in Lefkos! We come here every day. Fresh fish, good meat and you always get some treats from the nice lady. And let’s not forget about the great service by Alex! We love it.

We came for lunch and were told that 'we couldn't sit down because we 'would wet the chairs for the evening guests'.Baring in mind that this restaurant is situated right next to the beach and we arrived at 1.30pm (and it was only our kids...who were slightly wet) we were shocked and surprised at this remark and needless to say didn't stay. This was our second visit to this restaurant and although the waiter seemed grumpy on our first visit, we put it down to him having a bad day and thought we would give him the benefit of the doubt. It costs nothing to be nice and with plenty of other amazing restaurants around Lefkos, we will never return here again.More

One of the best restaurants we visited during our two weeks stay on Karpathos. Everything we ordered tasted delicious and the staff was lovely!
