About
This place has existed for three or four years now, so I'm surprised it's not been reviewed yet. Maybe that's because it's a small mom'n'pop type operation and slightly removed from the main drag, but it really deserves a mention, as the food is great, and reliably so.

Plinthos is up Leof. Naxou Eggaron on the north side of town. I had drunken pork in red wine sauce, with some spanakopita that was fresh out of the oven. Just a great meal. Then the owners wife (?) brought me a free desert of...More

We were staying up the road from this place and thought we would give it a try. Great authentic experience- lots of locals, family run, and tasty food. We tried the gyros pizza, amazing. It's off the beaten track but well worth a try!

Awkwardly located on a sharp bend on a major road from the nearmy Naxos harbour to the northern coast and interior. Access was not easy. The Taverna was very Greek in all ways together with a warm welcome. The rooms were decorated with masses of...More

I had lunch here on a Tuesday and it was fairly quiet which was nice. It is a family owned restaurant and offers some traditional Greek cuisine as well as the usual Mediterranean varieties. I had the moussaka and this was absolutely delicious (better than...More

We've only had 5 days in wonderful NAXOS but enjoyed two dinners at this "local" eatery. . . off the beaten path. . . at the foot of Grotta hill. The family and "locals" are most welcoming. The traditional meat dishes are prepared with love...More
