Being for more than a week in Kimolos, we visited almost all well known restaurants in Kimolos. Taverna Kalamitsi was the best. It is located in a isolated beach called Kalamitsi. It is a small, not luxurious taverna serving sea food and local cuisine. The personnel was very polite, they were very fast in serving and the most important the food was delicious. We tried greek salad, fried calamari, fried small shrimps, octopus, some local dishes like meatballs. Everything was delicious and the portions was very satisfying. Finally the prices are too cheap for what you get. This taverna is rated as No2 in Kimolos but as value for money it is by far No1.

This taverna is excellent. All the dishes we had were freshly made, copious and delicious, in particular freshly caught fried small shrimps. We came at lunchtime in August so we had to wait in the queue a bit but it was totally worth it!

Do you have exclusivity on a beach, do you have an ideal location on the beach and do not pay attention to your food and its quality ?? All frozen and badly cooked. My wife and I visited this restaurant/taverna while we were in Kimolos for vacation. It was exceptional in every aspect. Service was fast and people were very polite. Food was really delicious and more importantly was fresh. We had the Greek salad, the spaghetti with shrimps and some grilled fresh (really fresh) fish. Price was value for money for what we ordered. It deserved any single cent. We wish we are able to visit Kimolos island again soon enough and definitely we are going to eat to Kalamitsi.

Taverna Kalamitsi is as wonderful as ever!

So glad to be back in Kalamitsi. Food and service with Dimetra was absolutely fantastic. This is a family run restaurant , with Stelius, Maria and their parents all working so hard and looking after us so well. We stayed in a super apartment with panoramic views also owed by the family. Looking forward to coming back again next year!

We hadn’t visited the island since before covid and so looked forward to returning. We had a simple but very tasty seafood late lunch, very fresh, tasty, good value, and a beautiful view to boot. A must visit if you’re on Kimolos.

Set in a splendid bay, adorned with tamarisk trees and with free sunbeds available, this tavern was the culinary discovery of the island, together with another on the island of Milos. I have no words. We went 3 days in a row (we regretted not going the other days too) and what we ate was amazing. The vinegared octopus, the grilled squid and the fried shrimp are the best we have ever eaten. Our only complaint is that we didn't catch the greens. Reasonable prices
