Amazing food, the waiters are very polite and using all the safety requirements.
The food is amazing, nice place to eat in the middle of the town.
The presentation of the plates very nice and use very beautiful ceramic plates.
This is around our 25th time eating here. Excellent food. top rate service. We now go early, around 8 pm, to ensure we get a table.
We do try other places, of course, but we know for certain we will get a delicious meal here...and a relaxing time.More
This is hands down the best restaurant in town. It’s a family owned restaurants, and you’ll find three generations here. Mama and papa working behind and sons and daughter(s?) working service. And the sweetest Yaya (grandmother) coming by every day. The way they show love...and care for their elders is heart melting!
As a sommelier I very much appreciate my red wine chilled in this heat, and they deliver. The food is amazing! You’ll also find that the restaurant is very popular amongst the locals too, which is always a good sign.
The service is impeccable - always with a bright smile. And they are very generous, always coming with something extra when asking for the check.
AND they even come here on their day off, having dinner with their friends or partner. It truly is a fabulous restaurant! A NEED TO TRY!More
We had a nice evening at this restaurant but there were a few niggles along the way. Overall, we enjoyed our time there but won’t be returning.
There is no doubt the setting is beautiful. Set on a narrow street with beautiful buildings it is...lovely but it does mean you dine very close to pedestrians passing by. We were brought bottle of water we didn’t ask for so sent it away and some pretty poor appetisers. Again, these weren’t asked for and consisted of four olives, a spoonful of weak tomato purée and a couple of bits of bread. It was disappointing that we were charged for these at the end of the meal.
The restaurant price itself on being creative Cretan cuisine and you can’t argue with that. The food is innovative and dishes you don’t see anywhere else. I had a stifado which was done in pastry and, unfortunately, it didn’t really work. The other dish of belly pork was pretty good though. Big portions and not expensive.
Complimentary desserts were brought which were absolutely excellent and were the highlight of the meal. The orange pie was absolutely delicious and much appreciated. The service throughout was professional, courteous and very friendly.More
We absolutely recommend Rakodikio in Rethmynon! The service was great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was cosy. I would also recommend the draft beer from Thessaloniki (nymphi or something like that). It was really cheap too!
