I had the pleasure of visiting this place twice. If anyone thinks that low prices here mean low quality, they are very mistaken. All the dishes were delicious and filling. Sometimes you could get full just from the appetizers, but seeing so many different dishes, it’s hard to stop at just one, and it’s worth trying several. The entire staff is friendly, including the owner, who personally came over to mix our salad because he wanted to make sure it was mixed properly. He had previously told me to mix it well, but noticed I wasn’t the best at it, so he kindly took over. It was a very nice gesture! I recommend the Siron (broth of goat/lamb. Braised Lamb Shank, Greek salad, and the “Greek salad with a twist,” Greek carbonara, and some dishes I don’t remember! :) I didn’t try the seafood, but I suspect it’s just as delicious. The venue is located near the famous Rethymo fountain. The menu offering is smaller than other trattorias, but they are all very refined and refined dishes. Great spot with not a lot of tables. A lot of attention to its guests. A friend had ordered for our table of 11 with recommendations from the host and we were pleasantly surprised by every item we received. Great flavor, good portions, for a fair price. This place was by far the best when compared to all the others I have visited in my travels to Greece and the rest of Europe . The food (cretan style roasted pig ) was superlative and what made this place special were the hosts which acted like long lost friends or cousins , in a good way (not like the fake smile and hassle you get at the tourist traps ) . Food 10 , service 10 , people working there 10 . I am only sorry time prevented me to revisit the place .
Everything was good , beer , olives , the sauce , everything , I highly recomend it as a relaxing spot where you can smoke a cigar in peace in quiet .

Absolutely wonderful spot in the old town. Ended up eating here more than once as we enjoyed it so much. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. My partner is pregnant and had a series of questions about the menu (in English!) and they were happy to clarify, research and ensure that she could enjoy her meal.
The setting is lovely (near the old fountain) and the food was fantastic with everything sourced locally and loads of options for most dietary preferences. We really enjoyed the stuffed aubergines, the fried potatoes with the hard goat's cheese and caramelised onions and the pasta with chicken. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable and the complimentary desserts of local yoghurt was amazing.
I would definitely recommend a visit here if you are in the town. We absolutely loved it.
