There are so many restaurants to chose from in Rethymnon. With all the greetings from other restaurants you may forget to pause a minute and listen to Giorgos, a proud Cretan running a restaurant with truly fresh meat. I just ate the cooked beef with...home made pasta as a starter and although I cook a pretty good beef stew, this dish was a genuine surprise and a feast for my tongue. I then ate the grilled beef aand again this was a piece of beef as tender as they get. When you are serious about tasting the real Cretan quisine, ask Giorgos for his recommendation. You will not be disappointed.More

We had lunch or dinner here most days during our week in Rethymnon. This restaurant is often not very busy for some reason. They do serve perfectly grilled lambchops and the salads are perfect with mild onions and perfect tomatoes. Prices are very moderate ....9€ for the lamb chops withs fries. 3€ for a large Mythos. Very friendly and ttentative service.More

The prawns were dried out and the rice was way overcooked. On the other hand, the fries were excellent.

Food was very enjoyable and location on the harbour front is perfect. Good professional service. The food was not ‘for tourist ‘ only variety and the menu was simple and fresh.

The restaurant is spartan but the host was very welcoming. The barbecued lamb (with bones) was really delicious. As also at the end the offered watermelon and melon with Raki. We went twice.

My parents and I ate dinner there. The food was quite good and it came really quickly. I’m a vegetarian and there were definitely some good options. Of course it’s a tourist tavern, so i’m not sure if the food is really fresh, but it...was good nevertheless. The service was really good and the waiter was quite funny and made some jokes.More

This restaurant specializes in the best hometown food. Comfort food, daily specials and good service. The spaghetti bolognese was excellent, very little if any tomato sauce, lots of meat and covered with cheese. The lamb chops were sold to us by the kilo (1/2 kilo)...and horiatiki salad with fresh, sweet tomatoes. Wine was great and they don’t try to coax you in or make you leave. Under the radar goodness! Complimentary watermelon for dessert and a small bottle of raki to battle the fullness m, which is typical hospitality shown on this warm and friendly island.More

We ordered greens as salad, grilled lamb chops and chicken souvlaki, and mousaka. Everything was ok. Pros: location, grilled meat, seasonal salads, homemade food Cons: ambiance, prices
