Excellent meat place with very good knowledge on the types of meat. The best T-bone I ever had! Very clean and well organized place. Probably one (or two) of its kind in the whole island.

I've been in this restaurant three times, in three different locations. They moved over time from a small corner in a square, to a bigger place in the same square, to the final, more appealing, venue few months ago. They are good at traditional dishes and with meat over the grill. They have a good selection of wines, with good... More

Descent Mediterranean cuisine with very good service in a nice decorated space...the balcony overlooks the sea...If they achieve to acquire an identity on their dishes it will become a good restaurant..

The place is interesting and pleasant, but I was disappointed with the service. First, we love wine, and we thought that the place would be great for that. I asked the girl who served us about the wines and she just showed us he had a kind of menu where you mark in a small square that would like to... More

The ambience of the environment prepares you for a lovely meal. Decoration is lovely. The menu is based on traditional tastes and ingredients, but all dishes are made with a hint of imagination! A rich and interesting menu with a variety of freshly made dishes. Highlights: liver, pork fillets, trachanoto, burger. Prices are reasonable and portions are large (each plate... More

You must try their signature salad "Parasties" with mustard dressing (7 EUR for a large bowl for 2-3 persons). Fish is good too.

We went there because we had read positive reviews. We were disappointed, because they try to convert Cretan traditional food to European gourmet style. The end result of their attempt is dsappointing.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, just down the street, on the beautiful harbor. What an incredible ambience, rustic yet modern, very impressive, with a totally open kitchen where you can watch your meal being prepared. We ordered grilled mushrooms, Cretan greens and grilled sea bass to share between the two of us. All fresh, the mushrooms especially to die for,... More

We received wonderful service and food here! We had a bottle of the house white, which turned out to be excellent, and started with a very good Greek salad and dolmas. My girlfriend had a Cretan pasta, and I took a grilled salmon dish, and both were very good as well. The restaurant has a lovely decor, views of the... More

Description
An atmospheric, cozy place and of the most popular gourmet hangouts of Heraklion, since 2000. All these years 'Parasies' -as was the original name of the restaurant- has been opening its doors to foodies in a smaller, intimate and beloved place. Our desire and goal is to combine classic nostalgic flavors and special blends even at the simplest dishes so that we can please every taste. It is a daily challenge and a great honor for us, when guests, as we like to call our customers, recognize and appreciate our culinary philosophy. The quality food, the finest wine labels and a coordinated team, make sure you feel comfortable while enjoying scents, flavors and authentic recipes and offer you and your guests an ideal suggestion for quiet lunches and lively dinners. *According to the Cretan dialect parastia or parasia has been the traditional way of cooking in Crete for many years. A fire was set between two parallel rectangular stones and a cooking pan was put above. Thus 'parasia' was selected as the name of the restaurant, where the open kitchen dominates as a trademark.
