Lovely meal with beautiful views
We dined just as the sun was setting and enjoyed spectacular views of the city and harbour as we ate.
And so to the food - to start we had anchovies wrapped in courgette slices on a mini tomato jelly - delicious - and courgette flowers stuffed with a local cheese, which my wife polished off with abandon.
For mains, my wife had salmon with fennel and carrots steamed in a parcel with an unctuous sauce, whilst I went for the 300g steak with a very tasty salad to accompany.
The wine was chosen (with help) from their wine room and we settled on a local Cretan wine, lots of fruit with just the right amount of tannins at a reasonable price. Excellent.
Service was very friendly and chatty without being at all overbearing. Finally, In these COVID blighted times, everything felt very safe, with staff wearing masks, lots of hand sanitizer and social distancing, so no worries at all on that front.
A very pleasant and relaxing experience with lovely views.

My husband and I went for dinner at Ntoré our last night in Crete and I have to say, we weren't disappointed. Some background before I continue, it is usually challenging for us to find a great restaurant that can accommodate both our needs as my husband is Vegan. Sometimes restaurants will have limited vegetarian options and one or no vegan options. Even when they do, they're usually quite bad.
With that in mind, we went to Ntoré because it had good ratings and the menu seemed to have more than just one option. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed. I had the slow-cooked lamb, which came with Cretan style pasta and my Husband had a Cretan pasta specialty dish (I attached some pictures I took with my iPhone to this review). Both were prepared phenomenally and presented very well! We also had a few of their signature cocktails and they were incredible; very tasty and sophisticated.
One thing that stood out to me most, was actually the service. We were attended to by a very kind and attentive waiter called Bill. We made him aware from the beginning about my husband's dietary restrictions and he was incredibly accomodating, allowing us to feel more comfortable. Even at the end of the evening, the restaurant presented us with complimentary desserts! I was served what seemed to be dense chocolate cake balls in a delicious dark chocolate ganache with streams of what I think was raspberry ganache. Now obviously, this was not vegan so they went out of their way to prepare an assortment of fruits for my husband so he also had something sweet to enjoy at the end. This really touched my heart. Thank you, Bill!!!
To finish off, I do highly recommend this restaurant even if it's just to enjoy a few drinks with a fantastic view of the Heraklion port. 5 stars!!!

This visit to Ntorè Restaurant was the highlight of my time in Heraklion. Honestly, I’m gonna be honest and tell you, GO THERE RIGHT NOW if you have any time. But book. Otherwise the restaurant gets super crowded and I mean hyper crowded when I say that. And I rayes it 4 ⭐️s rather the 5 ⭐️s because the starter portions would be too much for a colossal squid 🦑 to eat. They are humongous. Otherwise I had a great time. 👍

The food was good, but lacking a touch on the spices.
The salmon toast was not that great, dry and overmarinated with lemmon, loosing the flavours.
The waitress had little to no understanding of basic english, when a simple extra egg on the side order was totally misunderstood and ended up with a whole other dish, charged as such.
She must've been new to the job since it seemed like a group of her friends were sitting next to us and she spent almost all of our lunch talking to them.
The views of the Venetian port are blocked by a pile of cruise ships and hotels, but a nice breeze fills in the restaurant room.

Exceptionally good experience in Heraklion! The food, the service, the atmosphere, the music. Everything was on point! We shared an appetizer of zucchini flowers stuffed with beautifully seasoned Cretan cheese it was excellent. My husband ordered the goat stew which was absolutely outstanding and I had the beef ribeye which was served with salad and roasted mushrooms and it was perfectly prepared. The recommended wine was an excellent pairing with our meal. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

Found this restaurant through trip advisor and reading the reviews. It certainly didn't disappoint! Food was amazing, had the mushrooms to start and salmon for main course, clotted cream ice-cream for dessert, although I enjoyed my partner's lemon citrus dessert more 😁, staff very attentive but not overbearing. Would definatly recommend this place, and hope to visit again this week. 86 euros for 3 course meal for two with a bottle of prosecco.

Splendid location with a very nice view. The service is excellent and friendly. The food is absolutely stunning and more than enough. It was a perfect evening and the prices are absolutely fair!!!! Dinner with 3 entries, 2 main courses, one shared dessert (we got one free) and alcoholic cocktail for 80€ is incredible. We will be back 😍

We called two days prior to booking to take a look at the restaurant's views and had a soft drink.Our questions asked at that time were well handled and so as we liked the set up we reserved a window table for a 7.45pm booking.We arrived and were well received and were given a nice table with the expected superb evening views across the city lights.
Our wine waiter John Milan was exceptional throughout the evening. We chose a dry white wine at 19 euros which turned out to be good.
The waitress took our order and we waited with great anticipation of enjoying a nice evening. We had ceviche 13 euros and the mushrooms 8 euros to share.
Although the ceviche tasted delightful it was a very small portion indeed. The mushrooms however were the opposite and easily sufficient for two persons.They were excellent. For mains we both chose the sea bream fillet at 17 euros each.These were served on tasty steamed green leaves with a delightful lemon sauce.The sea bream fillets were on the small side and slightly over cooked for our liking but nevertheless tasted excellent.
Our dining experience however was spoiled by the fact that the management allowed a group of five young ladies who were enjoying drinks at a table close by.The cardinal sin was however they were allowed to smoke and vape throughout our main course.
This should never be allowed in any decent restaurant. For this reason I have downgraded my rating.

Elegance, architectural delight and gastronomy. All at Ntore. Encourage visitors who are looking for traditional Cretan cuisine, highest value and refined taste to try an experience here. Te restaurant is on the fifth floor above the main plaza where several standard tavernas ply their wares. But this was something so special. We were welcomed by an ancillary employee upon leaving the elevator. The seating In the Dining area is breathtaking as are the views. The food is sensational and traditional… but with a unique flair. We were treated to a complimentary starter soup with herbs which was almost the meal highlight… a very different salad, sea bass ceviche with hints of strawberry possibly watermelon and a rich mushroom appetizer. Lovely wine menu for sure. We did not have room for the main sadly this night, but will return for more soon!!

So I decided to pop in during the day for a bite of lunch. Restaurant was nice and quiet, I guess busier time is evening and you wouldvdefinitely need to book than. The food was great, the view was great and it was just lovely to sit there with the breeze blowing through. The staff were fantastic, they could not be more attentive, borderline worried as I was taking time to eat (and thought I didn't like the foid) or checking to see if I needed anything else. Even if you don't go for food, at least go for a drink, the view and literally service with a smile 😁

Beautiful setting for our final night in Crete, can view all of central Heraklion out towards the sea from our table. The food, given its quality, is very reasonably priced and our waiter was very knowledgeable helping us to choose a lovely local wine as well as to help us navigate the menu for dietary conditions. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Heraklion wanting a dining experience to remember.

We visited this restaurant for a late lunch/ dinner and we were amazed of the service and food quality we had. The staff were lovely, the food fresh and delicious and the views amazing. Was definitely great choice to eat and enjoy there . Would highly recommend to everyone.

Good food let down by extremely slow/inattentive service.
I have worked in hospitality for many years and we visit great/Michelin star restaurants regularly. Ntoré was shown as best in Heraclion.
The drinks, starter/salad arrived promptly enough but then the main took over an hour. My husband had a pork neck dish, delicious and plenty of it, I had sea bass fillet risotto, the fish was nice but the saffron rice and Greek bolognese/sauce was flavourless/inedible. I took the fish off and had it with my leftover salad, leaving the rest of the dish untouched on the side, no one bothered asking if anything was wrong till half an hour after we finished our "meal". Husband's second glass of wine never apeared. We asked for the bill as we did not fancy waiting another hour for dessert/drink/coffee. The chef, sitting a couple of tables further with his friends, was clearly told by the waiter, that we weren't happy, seemed nonplussed. 15 min later, instead of the bill we had bowls placed in front of us and told that due to the wait they will be offering us a free desert, still no bill or a question if we would like another drink/coffee. 20-30 min later (I was about to walk out) the desert turned up, "Mille feuille", nothing to write home about. After a couple of spoonfuls I asked for the bill again and answered his question regarding the desert that " it was not great", seamed to fall on deaf ears. The bill was not produced, we were just told the amount and did not even receive a thank you or bye. We are now sat in a downstairs sports bar where we were greeted hapilly and served drinks/coffee within minutes!

I seldomly post bad reviews and usually give credit where credit is due. However our personal experience was lacking, and quite frankly bizarre. One other 2 star review said something similar, we were treated really poorly for no clear reason. It was like we didn't exist and this was at odds to the tables around us who were fussed over. Overall the meal took 2.5 hours, there was a long wait between starters and main, my wife's main wasn't to her taste so she immediately set it to the side and it took 20 minutes after we'd both clearly finished our mains before the waiter cleared plates and enquired about her leaving the dish. Nothing further was done about this. I asked for a second glass of wine which never came. After mains were cleared I asked for the bill and instead the waiter brought plates and said we were getting a small free desert for the wait we had endured between courses. This took another 20 minutes to arrive and was OK. I would gladly have spent 150 euros on plenty of food and wine here but it was so hard to get a drink and the staff showed no interest in serving us which was a shame as the food and view were very good. Finally it occurred to me after we left (with no tip which is unheard of from me), we weren't actually presented with a bill, just an amount to pay. We immediately went downstairs to a sports bar and received much better service and plenty of drinks!

This place was recommended by local friends as a must before leaving Crete.
I was really amazed as it didn't look like anything I had visited during my staying. It is located on the roof of one of the tallest buildings at the center of the city so one can enjoy the incredible view, especially the night city lights and marvelous Cretan sky.
It combines the pros of a luxurious restaurant with a friendly atmosphere that will make you feel familiar and calm. The staff is really professional and seems to be truly dedicated and focused on making this place unique.
The menu offers a great variety of recipes from all over Greece. I tried pork ragout and pasta which were very delicious and well-served. Most importantly, the prices were really good given the high quality service.
Highly recommended for any occasion, private or professional. Make sure you book in advance, we fortunately managed to find a table available without having to wait long.
