We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Tavern Giorgios last week. Having been warned about the high cost of fish, we were very pelasantly surprised. We ordered the special fish mezze for two (65 Euros) between three of us and could easily have fed one more - even our delightful waiter Giovanni wished us good luck when he put the food... More

Not overly expensive; big portions (spaghetti would have done for two, really), cheerful smiling service; tasty food.

This is a decent resaurant with a very good value for money ratio. It has big portions of good simple food and fresh fish. The service at our table was okay. A decent resaurant worth visiting but certainly not the best in the area as some are saying (by a long shot). We went to far better in Elounda. It... More

We had baked feta followed by fresh fish. Excellent. Very well done. Much cheaper than our hotel nearby.

lovely restaurant, pleasant staff. Never thought I would say this though but the servings are too much. Not really a complaint but if you order for example the `Calimari` for starters you won`t have room for the main. I know you can leave some of it but its not in my make-up. (yes I`m greedy) Well recommended though

Lovely setting when you get a table on the platform just up from the sea. Perfect service, very friendly and the food was incredible!

Great meal, good value, and just the right amount of attentiveness from staff. Dourade (bream) was wonderfully cooked and the recommended wine went very well with it. Orange cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert was delicious. Wonderful location too.

Fantastic food - beware - HUGE portions! My daughter had the char-grilled prawns and Souvlaki with Greek salad which she said all delicious. My son and I went for the Poseidon Fish Platter, which comes with its own starters of dips, and bread. I don't think I have ever seen so much fish on one platter, freshly cooked and utterly... More

We stayed in Sissi in May 2013 and drove our hire car along to Plaka. We decided to stop for a fish lunch and chose Giorgos restaurant because it was busy which gave it atmosphere and was right on the water's edge. There are nice paintings on the wall, fishing nets on the ceiling - and - don't miss the... More

The traditional Greek fish taverna by the sea. They catch the fish every morning and you enjoy them with the amazing view to Spinalonga island. You feel like an exotic place. Giorgos is very friendly and treats all people. The dessert of yoghurt with sweet grapes makes you promise to go back. Plaka is spectacular for walk, coffe and food.... More
