Authentic Greek food. We had a selection of appetisers, and a lovely bottle of sparkling rose wine. On a very busy street with lots of locals. Great resteraunt if you want to experience a less touristic meal.

Very nice place serving a whole lot of different local starters and tapas. With tasty dishes, very good wine is served and the service in the restaurant is pleasant. It's worth coming here
We remembered this place from our last trip to Chania and it lived up to the memory. Food was out of this world . Everything we ordered was so tasty . Portions are generous , service is great. Can’t fault anything. It’s not on the...tourist strip and well worth going.More
This place was recommended by our hotel and it is really good food. I have two daughters and myself and we ordered one dish from each theme off their menu. I’d recommend sharing because the portions are huge. We ordered the Cretian salad which was...beautifully done and the croutons were amazing. Theme number two was stuffed sausages with feta cheese which were rich in flavor and tasted excellent. Theme number three was the pork steak. Imagine… just had a perfectly seasoned pork chop now triple it in size and you have their pork steak. The flavor is so good and the fries that come with with it are deep fried in heaven. Ok kidding….but they are sooooo good. Service and location are outstanding! We came early before 9pm because the place fills up fast after that, and it should.More
Typical Greek cuisine limited wine selection and menu, no seafood. Everything seems to be quality. Our food tasted fine but beware this is a local restaurant and the noise level are intense.
Me and my wife visited the restaurant for a dinner after recommendation of our daughter. The stuff welcomed us in a very friendly way and they remained so for the whole time during our staying. The menu is based on the local cuisine and all...we tasted was delicious. Finally prices was not expensive and for sure we will visit this restaurant again and again.More
Nothing went well, from the beginning to the end of the dinner. The restaurant is very expensive if compared to other restaurants of the island ; the portions are small and the service is impolite and slow. The menu is extremely long, complicated and difficult...to understand. We ended up ordering some fried chicken tortilla and some biftekia (a plate for each of us). We politely asked for the service to be quick because we had to catch a flight. Result? We waited for 30 minutes to be served the tortillas and other 30 for the biftekia with the result that the people who ordered the biftekia had to look at the others while they were eating. The chicken tasted of shrimp and the biftekia were cold. We all had the suspect that they fried the chicken in the oil they used to fry some shrimps because the shrimp flavor was literally overwhelming. When we asked the waiter why the biftekia have been served cold he kept saying that we were wrong and that the biftekia were nice and warm (a couple of words to the waiter : if six people tell you that the biftekia they ate are cold, it means they are cold! Don't question about it!). The food was very bad so we left the half of it at the end. To conclude the dinner in the worst way possible they brought us some dessert and raki while the plates with the meat were still on the table. Ah, they also forgot to bring one of the glass... To summarize : it was a bad experience. Crete is full of amazing restaurants and taverns... Avoid this one because you will find ten thousand better.More
Good service, well made food and food wine. My wife and I decided to eat dinner here and it was very good, we chose some dishes and some drinks and we were not let down
Was recommended to come here but not quite sure we made the right order because not everything we ordered was great in flavor. There was a lot of staff and it felt hectic when they all ran around. Seemed to be a very popular place,...lots of greek people coming here to eat. Fun concept with the school-theme.More
The best restaurant in town, for real! The food was so delicious and the wine and raki was amazing! Thank you also for the great service guys! I will come back for sure!
We were lucky to get table without reservation, this one is very popular place! The food was great and great service! We ordered snails, grillplatter For 2 and 1kg of wine, all together 38€ and we couldn't even finish the dinner :D we also got...complimentary dessert which was very tasty!!More
Perfectttttt food! 👏👏👏👏 It was a great pleasure to eat here. The best from Chaina! Thank you, 63 Mezedoscholeion🤘 We will definitely be back here!
Excellent food in reasonable prices. We found many traditional dishes from crete like "staka" or "apaki" as well as the traditional cold alcogolic drink " rakomelo".
Went here 2 nights running, enjoyed it so much the first night. Tables set in the street, great atmosphere, fabulous attentive staff, who worked like clockwork together. Big menu, but everything we had was really good. First night had souvlaki and greek kebab and second...night had a chicken dish, tzatziki, spinach pies, spicy cheese dip. All good and big portions( don't order too much) house wine lovely and very cheap. Definitely recommended.More
Came here after walking past it a few times and seeing it packed and also reading good reviews. We ordered Cretan cheese pies (kalisounia) - which were ok, nothing special and I had these every night so I have a lot to compare to. The...fried feta with honey was very tasty to be honest. Snails were disappointing and lacked flavour, compared to all others I tried in Crete and came with no sauce, which I like and they sometimes do. I had a few and told the waiter and he took them away and only charged me €2, which I thought was fair. Pizza thing with the egg on top was interesting and decent and pasta dish with smoked pork - I didn’t try, but my mate said was nice. Mixed grill was very very large and came with loads of chips. The meat was all pretty tasteless to be honest - the only tasty thing on there was the grilled sausages. Place was good value and they gave a nice complimentary small ice cream dessert thingy, but overall the majority of the food was either average or disappointing and this nice gesture didn’t change that. With so many exceptional tavernas in Crete I would not return or recommend this place.More
