There's many places to eat over looking the Venetian harbour so making a good decision is often a matter of luck. We got it right with Gossitses, we had the Cretan salad and Calamari, both fresh and excellent. The Calamari was tender with just the...right amount of BBQ'd flavour from the grill. The service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the complimentary ice-cream and Raki while watching boats come and go. If you like Retsina try the award winning one from the drinks menu, it's very good.More

Ok food that served a purpose as a refuelling stop during a day exploring the old town. It's in a good portside location at the seafood area of the eastern port. We felt everything was average about this food, service, pricing. Generous portions. All perfectly...acceptable but certainly nothing special enough to make us want to come back.More

Stuff is very friendly, but the “fresh pasta” on the menu is a pure lie. We had marinara and it was very standard. The wine by jar is way too sweet to be combined with fish. Wouldn’t recommend. 🇮🇹

We visited the restaurant Glossitses for the second time in a beautiful spot in the old venetian port. Delicious dishes(we tried fresh handmade pasta, mix sea food and the cuttlefish 'pilafi'). Polite and friendly stuff. Reasonable prices, and an amazing view.

Average food, good service. One of the spots where you will not be disappointed but you will not get anything special. Not typical Greek, nothing to make us go back there

Amazing homemade pasta and an enormous quantity of the 2 persons portion. The prices are right for the quality & we received ice cream from the house!

We had such an amazing food, names I can’t tell since it was Greek traditional cuisine but all together was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely polite.

Nearly didn’t go to this restaurant as cheaper prices than many others on the front line of the harbour so worried quality would be lower. Got enticed by the patter of the guy showing us the menu and glad we did! €9.50 for full gyros....The kebabs and fresh squid were great. Best tzatziki. A few veggie and vegan options too which is pretty usual around here. And a perfect view of the sunset over the harbour.More

I came with my friends from breakfast and the experience was incredible. The view is amazing and the service really polite. The food is also excellent, you should try the pancakes!

Nothing bad but there are a lot better places to go in Chania. Food was nice enough but not very interesting selection. Service was very very slow (even by laid back Crete standards) and better views of harbour further along.
