Excellent port side restaurants that is two minutes away from the Venetian harbour and the tourist rip-off restaurants there. The Glossitses is a simply excellent fish restaurant with decent service and a great location.
Service and waitress are terrible, waiting for almost an hour and asked three times to order. Keep telling me coming but for an hour no one came to get my order at all when I kept asking kindly for service. Not to mention the time...I waited to be seated. Train your waitress or get more, there is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behaviour. Avoid this place if possible, don't deserve the money or time.More
Came here after an incredible daytrip to Balos. What a great way to end the day. Sunset by the seaside and dinner in here. Came because of a friend's recommendation and actually loved it.
Had the big dish of seafood pasta for two and it...was more than enough. Very tasty, good price and such a great choice.
Heard Octopus was amazing as well, but we were not hungry anymore.
Give it a try, I recommend itMore
The food was amazing.. very delicious that myself and my husband left very happy, there is no fault with the food, place, or the staff. Our food came in a very timely manner, there so no long wait. And above all we had so much...to eat and drink and paid a very decent bill. Highly recommendedMore
Small plates, big rates. Average taste. The Crete common drink on the house as dessert was no Tsikoudia like usual, but a strange mix of white wine and raki.
Overall seems to be a try of kind of fusion kitchen, but nothing you really need....Received a wrong bill in the end (of course more expensive), unfortunately noticed only at home.More
Very good choice, this place is a proper local experience in Chania. Go for fresh fish of the day, for mussels, their risotto, grilled octopus and fried calamari and you won't regret at all.
Owner and the entire staff is very passionate about their job...and friendly to customer.
All the best to them!!More
An absolutely amazing place to eat! The food was actually one of the best we had in 6 days being in Crete. The mussels where honestly the best I had in years (including the ones I had in Venice 2 years ago..)
Stella and the...team are fantastic- very welcoming, kind and attentive. The view over the venetian Harbour while eating does the rest - highly recommend to go there!!More
The best thing about this restaurant is the stellar service! The servers work as a team, so you never feel neglected as in many places in Crete. They are always checking on you! The appetizers and main dishes showed up surprisingly fast, and were very...tasty; we had the a variety of dips with pita bread. The wine choices were very good, prices were fair, and I thoroughly enjoyed my tuna steak (Fresh Catch of the Day- two fillets!). Hubby ordered the octopus in wine sauce, which he said tasted rather fishy. He did not enjoy it that much, but I believe octopus probably is just that way?More
