This was our second visit to this restaurant and pleased that it has maintained a local, family feel with excellent food and friendly staff. It is slightly off the main chaos of the sea front but great for people watching. We would go back again.

This restaurant is in a prime location, right on the old harbor. Plus, if you go at the right time, you can see sea turtles! The dourado was delightful but the swordfish less so.

We were looking forward to eating at Vasiliko one evening during our stay in Chania and had read previous good reports on trip advisor but were very disappointed with our experience. For starters we ordered Tzatziki which came on its own with no dips, 3.50 Euros. For main course we both had the Dorado fish and were expecting a reasonable... More

If someone ask me: why am I here again? It is simply answer : Here is real perfect food without marketing :) They catch fish themselves. Today I try sardines and labraks :) Perfect :)

Friendly place that is one of the few that don't hassle you when you go passed! Delicious seafood, reasonable white wine and free ice cream- good combo with fabulous views! Whilst basic, a perfect place for a quiet, picturesque, delicious meal. 2nd year we visited and as good as we remembered.

We spend a few weeks in Crete every year and always find a few opportunities to eact at Vasiliko since its the best fish taverna in Chania. The food is perfectly done, the service is very friendly, and the prices are so reasonable you'll think they forgot to charge you for half of it.

Fantastic service and fabulous seafood! No need to say anything else. We will be back as much as we can. We walked away from the main harbour to find a less touristy seafood place and found this gem. Had lovely fresh sardines and salad with bread looking out over the port which our son of 2 loved! We had been... More

This was the only restaurant along the marina/harbour front who did not have their waiters outside hassling passer bys to come in ~ they didn't need to, the place was full while other places were empty. The service was charming and the sea food excellent. The local house wine was good. To go to their 'wc' you have to pass... More

Just a short walk from the Porto Veneziano hotel this restaurant is unpretentious in appearance but serves up great flavours. This end of the harbour is quieter and not so tourist heavy which we appreciated. The souvlaki was beautifully cooked and my friend was more than happy with her grilled octopus. The wine is well priced and complimentary ice cream... More
