A really great restaurant with a hospitable owner and excellent cuisine. We were planning to have a quick meal but stayed for several hours - the meals were very delicious. At the end the owner presented ice-cream and coffee as a gift. General atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. The view on harbour is exciting. Highly recommended!

On our first night we got a table here as the only restaurant having available. We had fresh fish (gavro and sardeles) both cooked to perfection. We also got calamari and were informed that it wasnt fresh. Very good choice, pricing was ok and would go back again!

If you pick the fresh fish (we had squid, octopus and small fried fish) it's good honest seafood. No complaints. The service however was like taking part in a live comedy performance. Surly waiters arguing amongst themselves, dishes plonked down and if you wanted anything else, there was no chance of making eye contact after the order had been made.... More

I never expected that service in a restaurant, even less in Greece. They didn't tell us about the different price of the shrimps. When we pointed to the menu they were 10€, and after we ate them they were 15€. Once we told them, the waiter just laughed on us. Apart from that, the food wasn't good at all if... More

We chose here for a dinner on the look passing by a previous night, with the lighting and the nice setting it had the look of a quaint traditional family taberna. When we passed it was full of customers but when we arrived it was much earlier in the evening (about 7:45) and we were one of the first. Unfortunately... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant and pleased that it has maintained a local, family feel with excellent food and friendly staff. It is slightly off the main chaos of the sea front but great for people watching. We would go back again.

This restaurant is in a prime location, right on the old harbor. Plus, if you go at the right time, you can see sea turtles! The dourado was delightful but the swordfish less so.

We were looking forward to eating at Vasiliko one evening during our stay in Chania and had read previous good reports on trip advisor but were very disappointed with our experience. For starters we ordered Tzatziki which came on its own with no dips, 3.50 Euros. For main course we both had the Dorado fish and were expecting a reasonable... More

If someone ask me: why am I here again? It is simply answer : Here is real perfect food without marketing :) They catch fish themselves. Today I try sardines and labraks :) Perfect :)

Friendly place that is one of the few that don't hassle you when you go passed! Delicious seafood, reasonable white wine and free ice cream- good combo with fabulous views! Whilst basic, a perfect place for a quiet, picturesque, delicious meal. 2nd year we visited and as good as we remembered.
