We'd eaten here on previous visits but this time the service let it down badly, we were on a table at the end of the terrace and while the waiter took our order quickly and the food didn't take too long we were ignored afterwards, i wanted to order a second round of drinks and had to wait ages to... Lamb chops were not cooked properly. We did not ask for bread and they brought it on the table and charged us for € 1,80 (four pieces of bread!). Kalamari @ € 11-12 was not fresh but was good but the plate did not have any chips or salad and they charged around € 7 extra for these items. Will... More

I like the location of this decent little restaurant, set back a little from the Venetian port, near the Arsenal. You can eat on a veranda or in a little fenced-off garden where there is often good live Greek music in the evenings. Brisk service. Intermittent wifi. Traditional Cretan food from a printed menu, so relying partly on frozen ingredients.... More

The oil was full of scent and taste, as was the wine. The main dish was begun over two hours--pork. Can't wait but I will. A local musician or two played traditional Greek music and it was as good as the wine and oil.

Below average! Food was terrible, staff was rude. We were waiting more than an hour only for the starters. Not recommended at all.

We went to this restaurant to eat lunch because we came across it as we walked. It seemed very nice with the location and everything. The service was very slow and indifferent. We ordered seafood and salad with some other stuff. The starters were good but the main courses took forever to come. We waited for an hour, no exaggeration.... More

We decided to stop and eat at this nicely set restaurant because our first choice had a long waiting list. We had a variety of plates some better than the others but over all nothing above average. The service was pretending to care about what we needed and looked very tired. A place with potential but as it is run... More

Great food and friendly staff. Cats appear to live nearby and happily laze about while diners enjoy the food. Quality of the food is excellent and the hospitality excellent. Only downside is the number of dishes on the menu that are not always available. Great place that is open during the afternoon!

It is a family style taverna locatred off the old harbour back left side of the Venetian Armory. Outside patio is shaded by large trees giving it a wonderful atmosphere. Live music performed by authenic Cretan muscians every evening. Patronized by many locals which is a testimony to its quality and value. We travel quite a bit and enjoy good food and service at a good value.
